It works, BUT....1....I had to put washers on it to push it out further because when it turns where the wheel is towards the gate, it touches the gate.2.... They didn't even send the nuts to lock them in with. I ended up ordering some more from another seller and those DID come with everything needed.

I built an oversized gate to my fence, about 6.5 foot. So to help the sag I got this wheel. It wasn't difficult to install and works really well. It is a vinyl fence get so not very heavy just a little awkward since it is large.

Got this to help an older gate make it a few more years. This helps prevent the gate from sagging and dragging on the concrete and makes it a lot easier to open and close. The spring feature helps me get it going over the pebbles and rocks more easily.Pretty easy to install with the included hardware. Simple design that just works.

I got one of these with a lock and one without to go on opposite sides of a double gate. They come with everything you need to install them, but I personally chose to swap out the hardware for some that I know can withstand the salt and humidity in the Florida air. They installed without issue and look good right now and can only hope they won't rust too soon, but only time will tell. I am very pleased with them for the time being. If I see an early onset of rust, I will update this review.

Pros:* Pretty heavy duty.* Well made.* Stong spring puts a lot of pressure on wheel/ground.* heavy duty wheel.Cons:* Paint scuffs easy. It scuffed simply by slightly rubbing my wrench against the paint.* Wheel is larger in diameter than the mounting offest by about 2 inches.So, when mounting this, the wheel must either be below the fence/gate post you are mounting to. In my situation, I was mounting to a gate for my deck. The gate has a very small clearance between the bottom of the gate and the decking. So I had to mount a piece of 2x4 to the gate and then put the bolts through both 2x4's to bump out the wheel enough to clear the gate when closing (the wheel spins around and will hit the gate if you do not mount it carefully.).Other than those cons, it is a great device. Just triple-check what you are doing and be sure the wheel spins freely before tightening the bolts. I took it off and apart from my gate three times because of this.
