These do work for about 3 or 4 times. The shank loosens up and I ended up drilling deeper then I wanted. I kept trying to tighten it up but it would keep slipping. Bought a different brand that works like a need.

I like this set of counterset drill bits. The last set I got was half the price but completely useless. So there is a difference in these things. The cutting edges on the countersink part of the cheap set were dull and they weren't even designed to be deep enough to make a cut. This set has good sharp cutting edges. I wish that I could get a set of just three or four of the 1/8" bits, since the 1/8" are all I ever use, but that's not the sort of world we live in lol.

I just received my Hohean Countersink Drill Bit Set. It came with 5 tapered drill bits and one bit holder. The drill bits are sharp and come to a fine point which I like. I find it easier to center the bit of where you need to drill. The bits have an adjustable counter sleeve depth. This can be easily modified using the included hex wrench, ensuring precise control over the depth of the hole. With the counter sleeve, one can choose flush screw or hidden screw holes. The 1/4 inch hex shank magnetic drill bit holder is a nice addition. It locks the bit in place and makes for an easy/quick change. I will most likely keep this on my drill for use of other bits. The add states the shape of the bits can help absorb the high torque of impact drivers. I don’t understand that why one would use an impact driver for these types of bits. I can see the impact drill easily damaging the tip of the bit on harder material. I will not test that theory. That said, I like this set of bits. They are reasonably priced and I recommend this to others.

First, the magnetic adapter that comes with this isn't required, but is a nice addition. It does allow you to more quickly swap bits in and out but the bits themselves have the same shank so doesn't matter. That said, I'm always looking for one of them and now I have another! Overall nice little set. Bits are replaceable if you manage to break one. I have done so in the past, myself.Something to be aware of is the tapered drill bit itself. I have found that these tend to want to pull the bit into the hole where a standard straight shaft would not. Some may like this and I'm certain there is a good use for it. Just something to be aware of as it will pull. Having the tapered end, I find, is a good thing when trying to pinpoint the drill location more accurately.

I had gotten my husband a countersink set but they didn't have the bits attached. This is way more convenient. It's small, fits in my tool apron and everything you need is in the box. You may not need to, but I always drill a small pilot hole to keep the wood from splitting; better than having to traipse to the store for another piece of wood. This is a handy tool set to have in your arsenal.

OK. It needs one more collar to get precision depth for counter sinking. I have another set with that feature.

The drill bits are OK, sometimes the countersink spins on the drill bit when contacting the wood & doesn't do its intended purpose. The quick change accessory has a bent shaft and can't be used. It makes the tip of the drill spin in a half inch diameter circle. Useless.
