Received a defective bit, the hex wasn't machined properly so it's unable to fit into a bit holder or impact. Thrown in the garbage. Had one previously before losing and it was fantastic.

If the tap location is deep use a good locking 8" extension in a drill with a clutch, done break the bit.These are as good as any other manufactured brand, be gentle, and it will last years, and you'll be the clutch electrician who can get the project done!

I honestly can't imagine not having these in the shop, well, these and the other various sizes produced.You really have to take your time when using these and a little cutting fluid is always recommended.For standard electrical gang boxes which are thin, these can work quite fast, but on thicker material, really slow down. In truth, for thicker material, I usually pre-drill one bit smaller than the tap/drill as this helps to keep the heat down and takes the stress off of the tap.
