This is a very nice Inlet box and extension cord. I'm using it to run a steel building on my property. The materials on the cord are much nicer than you would expect at this price point, and overall it's a good value for the money.

This is a truly tremendous piece of heavy cable, at 50 foot long, I mean it is an absolute UNIT with that heavy-gauge wire inside! Both the plug ends of the cable look really good and weathertight, and the SS2 end fits securely into both the included receptacle and another one that I already own. The receptacle is a good unit, slightly better than some others I have seen which use rubber grommets, the hole covers on this are better and more likely to succeed in keeping small rodents out over time. Otherwise it is a pretty typical receptacle and enclosure for this purpose. The cover snaps shut securely. It is a very good set and the length of this wire gives you a really good range to have a generator be a long ways away from you if its noisy.

Any time there is a power outage I have to drag out one of my generators from a detached garage over 60 feet away from the house 30 amp inlet and in the case of inclement weather protect the generator. With this heavy duty extension I can now run the generator from a protected ventilated location with a minimal amount of moving. This considerably cuts down both set up and take down time making both transitions much more convenient. I did not need the supplied inlet box but it appears to be a quality item. While I am not looking forward to the next power outage, I will definitely dread it less.

This review is for the KIKIRV brand 100 foot, 30 amp NEMA L14-30 extension cord and kit.First off, the cord and inlet box are ETL listed.I ordered this for the cord, the inlet box was a bonus. I expected the inlet box was plastic, but didn’t pay it much attention. I was wrong, it is heavy gauge steel. It is also prewired internally with a 10 gauge grounding wire. The cap is also heavy duty. It all feels like it will last a very long time.The cord is also heavy duty. It is 4 conductor, 10 gauge wire. The cord is very heavy, as you would expect for copper.All in all, this is a very nice kit. I was unable to find any flaws in the materials or workmanship.I was telling my coworker about this generator cord. I told them it is long enough that I could put my generator in my neighbor's back yard! :)

I needed a 50 amp cable and inlet box to connect my generator to my transfer switch for when my solar system needs to be topped off, and this was exactly what I needed.Power cable: This is a very heavy duty, 6AWG wire covered in a thick rubber sheathing. It's still maneuverable, due to the stranded copper, though it is quite heavy. I'd estimate it's about 30 lbs. It was quite cold when I was working with the cable, and while it was a little stiffer than I'd like, it feels easy to move and durable, and very waterproof.Power inlet box: This took about 1.5 hours to wire into my transfer switch and attached to the outside of the building holding my solar setup. It's straight forward and easy to wire. It seals shut tightly and doesn't let in any water, or even condensation as far as I can tell. It's smooth and easy to connect and disconnect the power cable.This combo power cord and inlet box was just what I needed for my set up, and I'd get another one when I need one.

OMG, that extension cord is THICK! They did not skimp on the wire gauge.The connectors are robust.The separate SS2-50P box is also of good quality.All well built.Great product
