Really easy to use, although my one complaint would be the screw is kind of finicky.

Cable is very cheap, tore apart the first time I used it, set screw doesn’t grip even if you tighten with pliers,

Don't waste your money.. The cable is thin and weak compared to your typical 1/4 plumbing snake.. It is not 1/4 diameter, much thinner.. The cable just twists itself around when trying to turn a corner..

So this worked for me however it needed some help. This particular product is a little smaller than what I should have purchased. I mean it's plenty long enough but the diameter is a little bit smaller than the drain size I'm trying to clear. I fed this through my kitchen sink, well actually under my kitchen sink I took the trap out of the way and pushed this right through the wall and fed it through as far as I could using the thumb screw and turning the handle and I was getting some results but it actually made my problem worse before it made it better and then it still never cleared the drain completely. I don't blame this product for that I blame the fact that I waited way too long before I tried to use it. After five or six failed the temps I called a plumber. He showed up, well the 25-ft snake, a lot larger circumference, and he fed that through my kitchen drain three times and he couldn't solve the problem either. What he ended up doing however is dislodging the mess that I apparently had in the drain and pushing it down further and apparently 25 ft is just a couple ft too short to fix my problem. After he left however, I used this item one more time and I was able to feed it very easily through everything he already cleared and pushed the mess that was clogging my drain successfully the last few feet and now my kitchen sink is draining perfectly. So even though this drain snake failed me at first I don't blame this product. If I had not waited as long as I did before using this I'm confident that it would have done the job. Because I did wait too long, the clog was too heavy and this was just not quite strong enough to dislodge and push it or even make a hole in it. I mean you're talking about a kitchen sink here just probably a lot of grease down there and some other fats and oils by and once that stuff hardens, yeah you're going to need a little bit of pressure to move it along. So I do still recommend this. But don't wait until your drain is running so slow that you have to run to the store and back while you're waiting for the water to go down.

It was cumbersome at first. This product cleared my drain my first try. I'm happy with this product. Now how to store it away for future use? Ugh!
