These connectors work fine for hobby projects and are convenient since you can disconnect / reconnect / change around stuff without mangling the stripped end of the wire. Not quite ready to use these at work on serious installations. Code compliance questionable.

For small, low-voltage/low-current projects, these are a great lower-cost alternative to the typical Wago or Ideal brand lever connectors. I didn't actually realize that these "straight through" designs existed. I find this style to be really useful when trying to extend a wire or connecting two devices that are next to each other. In other words, instead of the wires having to bend/loop to all enter the lever connector from the same direction, this design allows a straight wire to wire connection. However, they lack a UL or ETL listing. Because of that, I am not going to use them for anything that is either high voltage or high current.

I have seen these types of connectors before and always wanted to try them. They are easy to use (on and off) and hold the wires in place with a lot of strength. I'm cautious so I will probably still tape these up.

Good value connectors and much better than wire nuts. Great for safe temporary connections where you know you will have to do work later. Grips the wire well and would not pull out even after a good tug. Seem to grip as good as the gold standard (but more expensive) Wago connectors I usually. The Wago do have the advantage of size as you can see in the picture. Great choice if you have the room.Recommended.

I love lever wire connectors and have used them for some time. These work good but not great. If I insert a 14 gauge solid wire into the connector and lock it into place I can with some force pull the wire out. This is not the case with other lever wire connectors I have used. They lock in the wire much better. When I make electrical connections I like to pull on the wires firmly after the connection is made to insure the connection is robust. These connectors would fail that test. Also these connectors or not UL rated. If you want great lever lock connectors look at WAGO https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BZ8RKRBK?ref=nb_sb_ss_w_as-reorder_k4_1_4&=&crid=3IEZ046BM3BHN&sprefix=wago&th=1. They cost more, but work better.

Wago (in my opinion) set the gold standard for these connectors. I've tried cheaper options and a few of then don't lock the wire in place well enough - when stuffing the wiring back into the electrical box, there is a risk of the wire getting slightly lose which could result in shorts. This one however held on to the wiring really well.I removed one star though - the Wago ones provide an easy way to determine how much wiring to strip the cover from - it is right on the connector. This does not. It is an easy fix to just print that onto the connector itself

I really like these wire connectors. They are much more convenient than wire nuts, and can potentially be easier to use for certain installations where you are joining only two wires together. For more than two wires, wire nuts would still be the way to go. I tested the connectors using a piece of 14 gauge solid wire and a light gauge (20 or 22) stranded wire. The connector clamped very securely on both. There's no looseness of any sort. And, the clamping mechanism is in fairly deep so the insulation on the wire can be recessed deeply in the bore of the connector.
