With the future of Aerogarden uncertain and honestly their seed prices are out of bounds (when you can buy entire packets of seeds for 1/3rd the cost of ONE seed pod), I just want to use my own seeds. This kit came with everything as described. If I were to give it one knock, it would be that the grow medium inserts only sit about 2/3rd of the way up the plastic holder, so your seeds start WELL below the top level of the garden. We'll see if this ends up mattering. Now that I have plenty of housings, labels, caps, etc...I'll probably just grab normal size growing medium inserts from another vendor going forward.

I’ve used more than 50 of this brand of sponges and cages in my Aerogarden. I find these to work just as well as the name brand items for much less money. Seeds have germinated nicely. I reordered a larger pack. Note whether the pack comes with domes or. It, as some do not, and they tend to get lost over time.
