I received the product from Amazon that had clearly been returned, as it was missing some of the pieces. After reading the instructions, I reached out to Atlantis Aqua to inquire about how to get the parts I needed. They immediately responded (5 stars for them) Ray, the customer service manager of the company said he would send me a new unit directly from the company. Arrived quickly. All the pieces were in the box. Put it all together and it cleared my water up overnight. It’s super quiet. It won’t need replacement filters, etc. I can adjust the water flow. Priced fairly. It’s a great filter. Super pleased with it. Please order one but be sure Amazon sends one that has all the pieces in the box. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for Ray and Atlantis Aqua!!

Keeps water clean, sponges do need rinsing frequently, but I do it during water change. Does not suck up my shrimp. The air hose is a nice feature. It hasn’t had issues leaking.

I got this for my fancy goldfish tank as we were going on vacation and I was going to miss a water change so needed extra filtration. We have an HOB rated for 40 gallons on our 30 gallon tank already but the more filtration and bio material the better. There were no nitrate or ammonia spikes while we were gone and the fish look happy! I decided to keep the filter in there because the surface disruption from the outward water flow is really good, and its in a hexagon tank so oxygenation is important. I don't use the air bubbler feature because its honestly quite loud, not quite the mechanical aspect, just the bubbled and water movement. but more so because its really powerful and since its a hexagon tank it made a bit of a vortex that my fancies couldn't compete with lol, poor guys did not like it. But I tried it and it seems to be even more powerful with the movement when the bubbler is in there, this is much better than any airstone I've seen, so I'd still recommend it, just not in my circumstance. I like that the power is adjustable, I keep it at 3/4 power since the current is quite strong. I really like the filter, it does a great job of keeping the tank clean- and bonus points, my algae problem stopped.

This filter does an incredible job of keeping your tank clean. It's almost silent, but be warned, if you use the venturi air tube, the sound goes up considerably, as the pump is so powerful that it pulls so much air that the bubbles make far more noise than the filter on it's own!So much power and so much water volume through-put, this will easily keep your 50 gallon tank crystal clear. You do not need a bubbler, the air flow from the venturi is so strong.Absolutely a great product, I bought a second one for another tank.Also should mention how easy to clean it is, just rinse the foam when it gets a bit full and you are back to full capacity!

For context, I’ve had aquariums the last 15 years. Currently I have a 20 gallon aquarium with ONE goldfish. Medium size. I was tired of tetra filters and the constat expense, so I decide to get this one to avoid those expensive charcoal filters, and just have the sponge filter this one offers ( quite tiny ) and the bio balls which promised crystal clear water. None of the above happened. The water was dirty in 5 days, it turned green, the lack of charcoal in this filter was part of the problem. Which I added later independently in mesh bags ( and this alone kept the water impeccable for days ) But what I dislike the most about this filter is the UNASSEMBLE PROCESS, Is impossible, frustrating, hard to do. You almost break the parts in many attempts to unassemble in order to clean it. To top it off, two months after purchase, it stops working, out of the blue, it stops with the oxigen and I had to take it out, see what’s wrong, inmerse, repeat, unassemble, and on my 10th attempt it just started working again. I don’t like to ruin anyone’s business, but this is the last filter I would recommend out of the filters I’ve tried. Buy mesh bags, fill them with enough charcoal, rinse, inmerse, get a simple sponge filter, EASY to unassemble and VOILA! perfect clean water for up to 3 weeks.
