Using these for my turtle and I was skeptical at first. They came completely disassembled but were easy enough to put together. I have one for my basking bulb and the other for the UVB. They are working well, just like the name brand ones. For the value, I would definitely recommend if you are in need of new light fixtures for your reptiles.

It's made of pretty thin metal, but I don't think that will affect it's heating effectiveness. Just a couple of issues I have with it are that the metal nut that holds the light socket onto the fixture can only be tightened to hand tight because you have to hold the plastic piece by hand while tightening. I'm afraid it will become loose when changing light bulbs. The other issue is that the on/off switch is not marked. So I took a white permanent marker and labeled them manually.

I used to use the dual lamp system where they were attached. I think they’re good if you’re hanging them because the cords tend to lay across the top of the lamps making them very hot. I really like these. I can easily move either around the tanks, without worrying about heating up the cords. I feel much safer using these and my snakes don’t appear to be affected by the change lol.
