I needed a device with a CP2102 USB to Serial chip in it due to a driver problem on a particular old HP laptop than made FTDI chips malfunction. In this respect it completely met my requirements.This devices output is not like most USB serial ports. The outputs of RS232 on computers is DTE. This device outputs like DCE (modem). Thus if you are inter connecting two DTE devices it acts like a null modem. To connect this device to a DCE (modem) device you will need a null modem cable. I don't know if serial printers are DTE or DCE. It would appear if this device is to work properly with a straight thru cable or directly to the printer they must be DTE. If the device doesn't work you might consider using a null modem cable or null modem adapter.I my application I needed to make a null modem adapter and swap RXD and TXD, RTS and CTS and DTR and DSR. I left the grounds alone. I didn't need any of the other signals so I left them NC.

Plug&play. Los drivers estan integrados en el kernel de linux, por lo que no necesitas hacer nada.Después de buscar por mucho tiempo un producto de este tipo y ver una cantidad ingente de drivers, al final he podido gestionar la impresora POS gracias al cable.Recomendadisimo.
