This is a resetable combination lock, you can reset the combination as often as you like.
Operating Instructions :
This lock is preset to operate at 0000.To set your own combination,follow the steps below.
1. Dial the combination wheels to 0000 and withdraw the cable.
2. Turn the knob 90 degrees clockwise to the designated position.
3. Reset the combination wheels to the desired combination,making sure the numbers are lined up with the pointer.
4. Have selecting your combination numbers,turn the knob back to the original postition in a counterclockwise direction.
5. The new combination is now set.
6. Repeat the 1-5 steps above to reset the combination anytime you like.

2'(0.6m) long x 1/2" (12mm)diameter.
How to set your own password？
Step 1
Set the default combination "0000" at the line with two bumps to open the lock.
Step 2
Rotate the "RESET" knob 90 degrees right.
Step 3
Turn the dials to set your new personal combination. such as "0009".
Step 4
Rotate the "RESET" knob 90 degrees left to the original position.

As has happened to others who reviewed, this worked great at first. Set our combination and tested it a few times and no problems. Put it on our gate and for the first six months, no problems at all. Then one day it just wouldn't open (and yes, we remember the combination!). Same thing as said in other reviews, we're going to have to get it cut off - it's definitely nice and secure on there - we just can't unlock the darn thing!

I was impressed. We lock up a couple gates with these. I like that they are bright orange which stand out and will probably lead to people just moving on to an easier, unlocked target. The large numbers are easy to read, the parts easily slides in and out and the mechanism works smoothly. I feel I could easily lock or unlock in the moonlight or with a cellphone light.

Ich habe für die Roller der Kinder zwei Schlösser gekauft. Im Sommer haben sie einwandfrei funktioniert. Nun, nach einem Jahr in Gebrauch, ist bei beiden Schlössern binnen einer Woche der Metallstift beim Verschluss einfach abgebrochen. Vielleicht war es dem Material zu kalt?

This lock is inexpensive but has a nice solid feel to it, and we had no trouble setting a combination. It performs fine with normal locking/unlocking. Very pleased with it.

La barrière qui empêche les enfants de sortir du jardin n'est plus bien jeune, elle souvre malgré la fermeture avec la clé. Avec ce cable bien tendu, la barrière et très bien verrouillée et le code est changé facilement. Très bien.

This looks good. I kind of wish I got a U lock style lock but this was a good deal so I got it. I hope it works well. It's alittle short, I like to wrap my lock around my back wheel and frame and you can't really do that. You definitely can't lock up on anything that's thick so this is not very secure because you can't atrach it to anything securely, sad because of all the locks of this style this is VERY STURDY. I don't think you can bolt cut or saw it very easy. It should be at least 6 inches longer. It does the job, but I have a hard time parking my bike with it because I have to ask myself "Can I lock up there?"SURPRISING GOOD FOR THE PRICE THOUGH!
