These combination locks are lightweight and work very well. They're easy to use, and can be used for more than just chaining your bike to the bike stands. It's made out of stainless steel, so they're rugged enough - just think about it, if someone is going to bring a set of bolt cutters to cut chains off of locks, there's not a lot you can do - most locks are going to be susceptible to that attack. This should work for the majority of bike thieves - most bike thieves are going to be looking for the easy steal, so having a bike lock on their is better than not having one, and the bike thief is going to bypass your bike if you have this on it. They're looking for something NOT protected.It is just like a bigger, more rugged zip lock tie with a combination on the end. And YES, the thing I always worry about is my kid forgetting the combination of a lock that they can't change the combination. Luckily, this makes it very easy to change the combination. Overall, this is a decent bike lock that your kids will be able to use for their bike, and getting a 3-pack for a decent price makes this a winner!

These work great, I use them for all sorts of applications. The mechanism is smooth and for such a small lock, it does a great job. I did torture test one with a hoisting chain to see what force was needed before the locking gears bent, and it took a lot more force than I thought it would.

Plus, since this comes in a three-pack, I now have extras for my motorcycle and other situations where I need temporary security.Of course, it’s not invincible—this won’t hold up against bolt cutters or a determined thief. But that’s not what it’s for. It’s an effective deterrent against passive theft, and for that purpose, it’s amazing. I picked up the WARLION Zip Tie Lock without a particular need in mind. I simply knew it was a practical solution for problems I’d encountered in the past, even though I wasn’t facing those issues at that exact moment. It wasn’t long, however, before I found a great use for it. A couple of weeks after getting it, I needed a secure way to attach my bike helmet to my e-bike when I was out, but I didn’t have enough room for my full bike lock. This zip tie lock ended up being a perfect solution.What I really like about this lock is how compact it is. It fits easily into my crossbar-mounted bike bag, and despite its small size, it locks securely enough to keep my helmet attached without worries. I can adjust it to fit tightly or leave it a bit looser, depending on what I’m securing. The three-digit combination is easy to change, and while they include a tiny “key” to help you set the lock into combination-changing mode, you don’t actually need it. It’s intuitive enough to adjust without any hassle, and I appreciate that the lock is foolproof in its design—there’s only one way to use it properly, and it’s straightforward to operate.Another feature I love is that it comes in a three-pack, so I now have several of these locks ready to deploy whenever I need them. The strap broke the first time I attempted to use it. The construction is so flimsy, you could probably cut through them with a dull pair of scissors. These things aren't keeping anything secure. Do not buy.
