. . . keeping my security camera charged. I placed this in a window that has sun most of the day and plugged it in to my security camera. It charged the battery and kept it topped up, even on a day when there was no sun. You have to be careful which direction you plug in the USB-C plug. In one direction it doesn't seem to charge at all.

I received this on 12/27. Immediately installed and connected to a Ring camera. Next morning, Ring shows the solar panel is not connected. I had to climb a ladder and unplugged the solar panel and reconnected. System showed solar panel is connected. This morning, the Ring app doesn’t show the solar panel connected to the camera. Hope this is not normal as I will return this tomorrow.

I have a few ring cameras around my house and since the panel from ring is a little overpriced this solar panel is doing the job for a better price ! Can’t complain !! So far so good

I’m not the handiest guy in the world, and the instructions that come with this solar panel are a joke. That said, I was able to get this assembled and screwed into place on the roof in about 30 minutes, most of which was spent figuring out the best angle for the panel to face. A few pilot holes drilled and a few well placed screws later and I was in business! I didn’t need the included drywall anchors, but they’re there if you need them. Best of all, it was truly plug and play with the Ring stick up cam - it immediately recognized that the panel was connected and providing power.
