Worth it for added safety measure on my bike.

Too small. Could not attach to bike. Not your fault. It's mine.

I bought this flag for my Avenue recumbent trike. As others have pointed out, the pole is 6' long. When mounted on a typical bicycle, the top of the pole would be about 7.5' high so you will very likely want to shorten it. The pole is made of a stiff plastic material that feels like metal and has a metal-like ting when you tap it. The pole comes already in the mounting bracket. I couldn't remove it, I needed to use pliers. After cutting the pole and re-inserting it into the bracket, it is tight but I can insert and remove it without tools.Since there are no real standard methods for mounting accessories on trikes, I didn't base my rating on mounting it. It's designed to fit on the mounting bolt on the rear wheel, the bracket seems to be sturdy enough for that. If you have quick release wheels, the bracket would go on the opposite side from the quick release lever. On my trike the rear rack is in the way for wheel mounting but one of the bolts on the rack makes a very good mounting point. I need to remove the flag when I transport the trike so I have to pull the pole out of the mount. If you use the quick release, you can probably leave the pole in the mount. I left enough length on the pole so that I can shorten it a little several more times if it loosens because of repeated insertion/extraction from the mount.

I am using this on my mobility scooter so my family and friends can find me in a crowd of people. This does a great job for my needs.

As I have stated previously stated, these are pretty much what you expect. They do the job and the mounting bracket is a joke (however, everyone else's bracket is a joke as well).

The materials used for the flag and pole itself are good, but there is nothing preventing the flag from sliding down the pole. I had to put duct tape around the pole under the flag to keep it at the top.

I installed it on really easily and its great because people can see the flag. Will recommend it if you got kids.

I got this as a safety flag for our bike trailer. It works, but it's very tall and difficult to manage for that reason. We ended up cutting about two feet off so that the flag would be easier to get into the house. I think it may also be easier to see now that it's a little shorter. Before it was up over the heads of any pedestrians or other cyclists, and I think out of the range where drivers would have been scanning for hazards.
