This tool is very handy to keep your boards in place. I was able to build a small, simple workbench by myself with the help of this tool. The boards didn't shift around as I was trying to get everything lined up. It seems heavy duty and should last a long time. I think this would even make a good gift for a friend starting on a home renovation project.

I didn't realize a jig like this existed until I saw one of my favorite YouTube creators use a similar one when remodeling their house. As we are in the beginning stages of adding a bedroom to our house and doing most of the work ourselves to save money, I knew this would be a huge help in framing the walls. Long story short, this thing is amazing. It has helped me get square, evenly spaced studs so easily. I like that it also has the option for different stud widths...ours need to be 16'' on center to be up to our local building codes, so that is the measurement I have used the most but it is always great to have multiple options.The tools is made from heavy metal and feels incredibly solid and well made. My only qualm is that if you are building walls in place (versus building the walls laying down and then standing them up) you can't really use this tool because it wont fit under a top or bottom plate already attached to the ground or ceiling. I circumvented this on a few of our walls by using the tool as a guide for marking the 16 inch stud locations in pencil to help me out once the plates are attached.I'd definitely recommend this for any DIYer who is bad is math (like me) and needs a little extra help getting their walls nice and straight.

Item works as claimed. I would recommend it for faster framing of walls.

I've been doing walls for a portable building and this speeded up the process by more than double and eliminated the need for someone to help hold the studs in place.I finished up one of the walls much quicker than I thought I would because of this.It is so easy to use that it made me wonder why I didn't get this sooner.The function is so basic and easy.It's built from aluminum and it is solid. It has a high-quality feel to it, so it is very lightweight to carry around and toss to the next stud.

They work great but are fragile. Dropped one of them on time and it broke into two pieces making it useless.
