Ben Clarke and Chris Kearney of GymPin in England were sick of doing high rep sets on cable machines with the full stack after maxing the machine's weight stack out. They were frustrated and wanted to add more weight.
The two friends and avid lifters went to work designing, developing and building the GymPin, a beautifully crafted piece of British ingenuity that marries a CNC-machined 2-inch-diameter aluminum bar end with either an 8mm or 10mm stainless steel pin that will fit into the stack on most cable machines. Thus creating the weight stack extender category.
Max out the stack, insert your GymPin and begin adding plates. It's that simple.

GP008 - Original GymPin with 8mm stainless-steel pin

Designed to be used with 2-inch Olympic plates with a 2-inch hole in the middle. Proven to hold up to 132 pounds or more.
Two pin sizes are available to accomodate different machines. Not sure which one you need? Measure the pin on the machine you are using with a soft tape measure or insert an 8mm or 10mm allen wrench into the pin hole to test for size.
Got the wrong size? No problem. As long as you have not used the product, request a return authorization number, ship it back to us and we'll swap it out at no cost.

This item comes in two different shaft sizes. It is important you get the right size for the opening.It appears sturdy and well built but I have only put a twenty five pound plate in it with no problems. Should hold much more. I would recommend.

I ordered 2 extenders and the gym pin off the website. I couldn't find where to do the reviews there so I'm leaving one here.Last week i ordered these and was incredibly excited because some machines just don't go heavy enough. I must start with the fact that the product is amazing. The pins are sturdy as I can add a considerable amount of weight which is huge for progressive overload.Well, when I ordered last week there was a glitch and I emailed them promptly with my concerns. I was quite honestly flustered, but they were amazing. They were both quick and kind in their response as well as accommodating. Between giving me exactly what I've been wanting for months and the wonderful customer service, the least I could do was leave a well deserved review.

Unfortunately this was the wrong one but after I ordered the correct one I can say this is a must for gym days. I always have it in my gym bag and I use it often. Crazy good feel. very well made.

Works flawlessly and does what it needs to do. However make sure you get the right size for your weight stacks your using. I thought I could just order the smaller one and use it on all stacks but it will slip out in bigger mm sized stacks.
