My only problem with this is that it shows the hands should be placed at the same spot along the length of the board as the front foot lands. If you watch slow motion film of even pro surfers their front foot lands closer to the tail of the board than their hand placement. Before I figured this out I thought I was lacking in the flexibility to do a proper pop up because I couldn't get my front foot far enough forward.

Mat quality feels durable. We got an inflatable surf board and my son wants to balance better, this mat is kind of helpful for beginner.
