So, I used these to hang Christmas lights. When I took the lights down, these bronze colored hooks were rusting. Hold them up to a magnet and you can see the are ferrous, steel that rusts when exposed to the weather.I should have expected this, which I sorta did, as they were made in China, and falsely represented in their specs.

Does what it is meant to do. Love the aged bronze look on our farmhouse porch.

I've been hanging faux evergreen garland on my decks and stairs for years. Everything was in place. The cup hooks to hang them on were all in place and there were small bows with little wire loops I'd made on the garland every place I wanted to attach it so it would swag nicely and evenly. So simple and fast to put up & take down each year. Just remove from the tote, walking down to where I wanted to start hanging and slip the loop on the back of the bows onto the cup hooks. Takes no time or effort at all. That is unless you had some work done a during the past year and they'd removed all the cup hooks without saying anything. Then you find yourself standing there with garland in hand and nothing to hang it on. Oh........! Amazon I need you and your speedy delivery!A couple days later, I found myself doing what I'd done about 30 yrs ago. Measuring and figuring outthe spacing for the cup hooks. Oh yes! One other complication. I had help taking it down decorations last year and some of the bows were missing or put back on in the wrong place. Well, I finally figured it all out and installed the cup hooks. They were easy to do. I gave them a tap or two with the hammer to get them started,, then screwed them in by hand. I should add here that I'm a petite older woman and not very strong but could this without any difficulty. Then it was simply hang the garland and plug it into a timer so I can forget about it until it's time to take it down again. These hooks wored perfectlyand I expect them to be there, in place, for many years or until the next time some workman takesthem out on me.
