Seems to be a well made tool, minimal slop and the jaws stay parallel throughout their travel The brass jaws won't scratch harder metals. I do wonder what to do when the brass gets worn, doesn't seem replaceable.I'm not sure what the purpose of the positioning screw is, it doesn't seem beefy enough to use the tool as a clamp. Supposedly its purpose is to set the max opening of the pliers. I don't think I'll ever need that feature, not sure who would, but it doesn't hurt anything.Bottom line, a nice tool to have when you have to use pliers on something you don't want to damage.

I am a jeweler and I have to file really small fiddely parts frequently. I often file into my fingers causing wounds of various depths. Sometimes I will hit the dermis layer, sometimes beneath that into the bloody layer below. I have formed callouses but would prefer to not exsanguinate for my art. So I bought these pliers and I no longer need a blood transfusion after any time at the bench.

The brass jaws and ability to adjust how far they open, makes this tool very useful as a sharpener. I have suggested it to several others in my profession.
