This oil filter wrench fits the resin type cartridges very well and has a secure fit. Used for three oil changes so far and no issues with slipping. When firmly installed, it doesn't move or fall off. Quality seems okay, and the value for a home mechanic is great as it's less expensive than the Toyota branded wrench.

I have Prius and started doing oil changes myself. Last place that did the oil change screwed the oil filter cap on wayyyy too tight. I tried pliers and other cap with tabs. The pliers were just damaging the filter cap. Couldn't turn at all with the pliers. The adapter with the tabs didn't have enough clearance to be useful at all. This item was what saved me!!! Otherwise my 2014 Prius would still be with old oil filter.

Did exactly what it was supposed to do. Remove oil filter housing 2022 IS350. Nice looking tool. I’m sure it will outlast the car! Had these in the past only difference was the one I had in the past was made from nylon or some kind of plastic, it wasn’t strong ended up in the garbage.

Purchased this adapter for the weird oil filter on my 2012 Scion iQ. Received quickly and item appeared to be high quality fabricated tool. Nice chrome finish too! Got to work on the oil change and the adapter fit perfectly for an easy filter removal. Manufacturing tolerance is very good, tight but not too tight that it can’t be removed easily after filter removal. Recommend — this is a quality tool at a value price.

Reviewed several of these types of filter wrenches and it appears that these Toyota filter housing can tend to be bear to get off if they were over tightened on a previous service. From the reviews, it sounds like the wrenches made of aluminum tend to crack. This one is made of good quality steel and feels very solid and well made. This wrench design doesn't also fit into the fins on the upper end of the filter housing, just the fluted part. Used it once so far on 2014.5 Toyota Camry SE. The filter housing was on their fairly tight, but didn't require excessive force. Wrench fit on the housing very snug and secure, able to remove the housing with normal socket wrench and a short extension bar on it just to get a little more easy leverage. No slippage. I imagine the tool will do the job for a decent amount of time. Good deal for the money, especially since the more expensive aluminum ones seem susceptible to breaking.

You will have hard time to remove this tool from the filter housing. I used for my Toyota Highlander. It's well made but it's very tight.That means no Quality Control check when they made it
