I just assembled this and mounted it on the wall yesterday. While the backplate isn't all that thick, and even has some tight tolerances so that it was hard to put a washer on the lag bolts I put into the wall, it still is very adjustable, and I love the sleek look it has once I was able to get it all together!

I like this product but install directions too small. Really big hassle to put together on account of it.

Very durable rack, it WILL take you about 30-60 minutes to put it together IF you do not get just a couple of brackets backwards and have to start all over like I did. I would buy it again but if you do not have time to "learn", but one that is preassembled. The instructions are AWEFUL and need to be redone completely

This is the third unit I used from this vendor, two with vented doors and one with glass. I was on the fence about using this unit but going off the specs, I thought it was deep enough for my Yamaha multi-zone amp, but it was not. I realized later the measurements were not from the front brackets back but were the outside dimensions, so my amp ended almost an inch beyond the back of the unit. It worked out fine since I had strapped two 2x4s horizontally to mount it to a concrete wall, so I removed the rear plate, and it worked fine. I do wish it had a rear swivel, but for the price, it is a good-looking unit. The unit struggled with the weight and wanted to sag down in the front. I countered this by using a couple of TV wall mount spacers on the bottom to prevent it from sagging. If you don't, the unit will sag in the front; putting the side doors in helps, but you can still see the sag. I ended up fully loading this unit due to numerous add-ons on this project, so it is supporting a lot of weight; so add spacers to the bottom, and it will do just fine. I went with the vented door for better air circulation since all my components put off a lot of heat. Overall, I like this unit. People say it's hard to assemble and the instructions are wrong, but I had no issues. I will be using more of them.
