I prefer to connect my trailers with a 7-pin plug vs. the 4 pin simply for ease of using the plug. I find the 7 connects and disconnects easier due both to the size and style of the pins and the much larger physical body of the plug. I had been using a 4-7 pin adapter on my boat trailer, but it seems to have wandered away from the trailer in the last little while, so I decided to replace it permanently. This unit seems to be the same plastic as others I have, and should be quite durable. Installing it is as simple as using a screwdriver. Pull the two halves apart, slide the backshell up the wire, connect the wires to the corresponding terminal posts, slide it back together and you're done. It doesn't come with a wiring diagram, but they're easy enough to find online. So far I'm quite happy with this unit but I'll update my review, should I encounter anything that warrants it.

This UNORME trailer plug is similar to others I'm order from Amazon and pick up locally at Canadian Tire and Princess Auto. The plug is mostly plastic which is OK because it won't rust. There is a set screw that holes the internal wiring plug onto the outer body. The wires are attached via screw terminals. This plug is easy to wire up. It fits in the receiving plugs on both by truck and van and works good.No Complaints. Decent Price - Good Value .... I'd order it again!

This is as well built as any I've used, and better than most. I prefer plastic construction over metal because of the corrosion factor. This fits well, and is affordable, so there's no excuse to not replace your damaged unit. If I have a complaint, it's that I feel it could have a better grommet for waterproofing. Nothing a little silicone won't look after, though.

Overall construction is good. Easy to wire up.I just wish the strain relief was an axial nut with rubber gland, and not the set screw and plate, so as to be a bit more waterproof.

This 7 Pin Trailer Plug is a perfect replacement for a 20 year old and beat up plug. The instructions are clear, and more importantly, each connector is clearly labeled so there is no confusion as to what goes where. Do not that the wires should be connected UNDER the square washer for each screw (Take a look at the picture for what I mean). This will make for a more solid and strong connection.Overall, if you are struggling with your old plug because it's old and deformed, do yourself a favor and get this one.NOTE: You will need a hex bit. It does not come with one.

I ordered new wire, this connector, and a junction box for my dump trailer. It was easy to rewire, taking me maybe an hour tops for everything. The original lasted 10+ years in the weather. If this lasts half as long, I will be happy. Seems water tight. The only thing that could have made it better is a cap for when you're not using.

Broke my plug on my trailer and replaced it with this one. Well made plug that was easy to install with great instructions. Great for new trailers or replacing worn out and broke plugs.

My old trailer plug had seen better days and was time to be refreshed. This UNORME 7 way trailer plug fit nice and tight. Everything was perfect from securing the wires to the internal lugs to securing the plug onto the main cable. It fits perfectly in the receiver socket and is held in place with the properly positioned lug stay. It came with wiring convention and instructions but for me it was easier because I was doing an R&R not a fresh install. Great price as well.

Had to replace an old corroded trailer plug and this is just what I needed. Fits perfect in the truck receptacle and was fairly easy to wire

I was going to use this for a custom trailer build, however I could only find 4-pin wiring adapters for my vehicle, so I decided against using it. The connector itself fits a 7 wire harness I have, and the wiring itself is pretty straightforward. All the terminals are marked properly. If you need one of these, it should get the job done.

So far this plug is working out well. Overall build quality seems to be good. Connectors are nice and solid. The quality of the plastic appears to be good as well. The test of reliability with plugs is over time, so I will update my review if need be.
