Used this to daapt 4 pin plug to my 7 pin plug on my truck. Nice tight fit. Does not come loose. Stays in place. Do not notice any heating up of the adaptor when in use. Nice and heavy duty construction.

I like that this has both 4-pin and 5-pin options, and covers for both. In theory I could run both at the same time. The plastic is a nice durable, highly-density type, that probably won’t crack if dripped.I think the only unknown is the corrosion resistance: The metal terminals are gray, so they’re not brass.

Bargain price for High Quality Product – Fast Connection with no wiring changes neededThis trailer wiring connection adapter works correctly if your towing vehicle and your trailer lights wiring has been done correctly in the first place. There are nomenclature mistakes in the website description. You plug this PLUG connector into the RECEPTACLE connector on the back of your tow vehicle. You DO NOT have a male “plug” on the back of your tow vehicle. On the back of your towing vehicle you have a female “receptacle” or “socket”. With this 7 pin male plug connector adapter you then get two different types of female receptacles: a 4 pin flat connector and a 5 pin flat connector. On your trailer you have a long cord that has many wires in it so the cord is correctly called a “cable”. On the end of the cable, coming from your trailer, is a male PLUG connector that is either called a “4 pin flat” male plug connector or a “5 pin flat” male plug connector. With this adapter connector you can quickly plug your trailer into your towing vehicle receptacle socket. Of course, before driving off you must always check the trailer wiring lights for proper function: running lights, marker lights, brake lights, turn signal lights.

Very nice 7 way round to 4 or 5 pin flat trailer connector. I love how it’s a 2 in 1. Made of quality materials and works great. Also has covers to cover the 4 or 5 flat when not in use so your terminals don’t get plugged with dirt. Definitely a great product for the price!

I initially used this to attach an extra light bar on my basket rack. The four-pin plug from the light bar fit very snuggly into this adapter. The adapter itself also fit tightly into the 7-pin OEM plug on my 2019 Chevy Suburban. The added light bar worked as it should with stop light and turn signals activating as they should and in unison with my vehicle.

If you have a 7-way connection on your tow vehicle but need to get lights on your trailer that only has a 4/5-pin connection, this is the adapter you need. You plug the adapter into your 7-pin connector on the two vehicle, then simply plug the 4-pin flat or 5-pin flat connector from the trailer into the adapter and voila, you have light(s)!To be sure you are aware - a 7-pin connector provides not only lights, but control for brakes on the trailer. When you are towing a trailer with a 4-pin connector, you are getting tailights, turn signals and brake lights (but not brakes). Make sure you tow accordingly - the brakes in the tow vehicle are all you have. Your brake controller in the tow vehicle is doing NOTHING - there are no brakes to control. If you have a 5-pin connection on your trailer, you have the tailights, turn signals and brake lights, like on the 4-pin connection, plus, you gain a connection for reverse lights. But you still have no brakes. Be aware. This particular adapter fit well in my 7-pin connector and provides a place to plug in either the 4 or 5-pin connector. It has rubber dust caps for each, which are much softer than most. Not sure if that will help it hold up longer (they are notorious for dry-rotting and breaking off. Hopefully, this formulation with make them last longer.Seems like a great little adapter - working well for me. Just be sure you check your connections to ensure you are getting all the signals and tow safely at safe speeds. Make sure to check your tire inflation often as well.
