What a ripoff! How can Amazon rate this as "Amazon's Choice?" I measured 490mV and only 35mA. Unfortunately my gas fireplace requires 40+mA, and so this thermopile does NOT start my fireplace.Waste of time and money.

I ordered this piece for my gas fireplace. It was well priced and easy to install. Because this piece doesn't control or regulate gas directly I didn't need a gas ticket to replace it.I did call a gas certified HVAC guy to service the fireplace a week or so later. It works like a charm.
