Tried a couple of water pumps for my .1977 mercury thunderbolt 500 50. And this one fits perfectly had no pro lem in stalling this pump if you have a older mercury 50 horse I highly recommend this pump. I'm going to order 2 more now that I know it works .on my 1977 mercury thunderbolt 500 50 outboard ....
