It was immediately obvious that this lens either does not have a coating or that the coating is inneffective. However the filter still works for protection. So for that its okay but this is going to hurt contrast if it gets any stray lights on it. My 1980s vintage filters have better coating that this does.

The quality of this UV filter is very good. The glass is clear, and it feels strong. It really helps protect the lens from dust and scratches. I like the slim design and the coating that repels water. Only drawback is the fit on my Viltrox lens is not perfect. It can't twist all the way in. Still, it works fine and does the job well.

The Fasiuchoi 77mm UV filter comes with a plastic storage case. The frame is aluminum and with the glass, weighs 0.63 oz. A similar aluminum framed filter from a different brand weighs 1.38 oz and a comparable brass framed filter weighs 1.66 oz. The frame is smooth and doesn't have ridges on it's surface to help with putting on or removing filter from lens. The threads on this filter don't go on as smooth as my other two filters for comparative purposes. The brass framed filter threaded-on the smoothest, with the other aluminum filter in second place. In terms of testing the optics of the filter, took direct pictures of the sun, street scene with sun slightly above and regular street picture with no direct sunlight. All filters were multi-coated for this test, including the Fasiuchoi. The Fasiuchoi did fine with the "direct sun" picture, as all filters exhibited some flare. The "street scene with the sun slightly above", only the Fasiuchoi had a slight bit of flare. In the "no direct sunlight" picture, all filters looked fine. The glass of the Fasiuchoi did not distort nor affect the quality of the pictures. Only in the situation as noted above did the multi-coating didn't work as well as the other filters. The other filters are priced much higher than the Fasiuchoi, in the majority of pictures taken, I would not be able to tell the difference in photo quality/clarity between this filter and the more expensive ones, other than the previously described sunlight situation. In terms of lens protection, this filter will easily protect a lens from scratches, but unknown for a lens drop, as the frame is light-weight and thin. Overall, an inexpensive priced filter with a basic frame, good glass, multi-coating adequate for general picture taking, and lens scratch protection. Rated 4-stars.

It took me awhile to prep and plan taking my camera out but I have to say, honestly I couldn't tell the difference image quality wise with UV without the UV filter, which is a good thing. Great price for this filter! I'd say I would 100% recommend this, and I'll def buy filters from this brand in the future if the prices remain this low. No issues screwing on or off. If you're on a budget, I don't see how you can go wrong. You could also use the create your own soft filter, black mist style filter DYI still for the price.

This is a low cost, basic UV filter that is a great way to protect your much more expensive lenses. This UV filter threads on cleanly and I couldn't see any difference in color rendition or optical quality, so shouldn't affect your image negatively. At $6, this is a great value. The only thing I don't like is the convoluted plastic storage case, as it opens one direction, then the paper liner unfolds in another direction, making it slightly awkward to take in and out of the case. Of course, you could just leave it on your lens all the time, negating the need to frequently take the filter in and out of the case, so this may not be a big deal. Overall, I think it's a good product at a great price and will likely pick up more so I don't have to swap between lenses.

It is extremely slim and fits the threads perfectly. This filter does adequately protect your glass, I’ve not noticed any distortion or difference in picture quality under normal viewing. Protective UV filters are a great option as a general leave on filter. For the price this filter is a great value. However I still prefer to invest in a filter with brass threads and not aluminum to ensure less of a chance of getting the filter stuck.

The FASIUCHOI UV slim filter came packaged in a sturdy fairly unbreakable plastic case, though it's a bit large and odd-shaped to be carrying around. You probably wouldn't, though, because the filter will probably be a pretty permanent fixture on your lens.I eyeballed the lens, looking for any easily discernable flaws, and didn't see any. The threads were a little graunchy, but the filter did go on and come off without cross-threading.I compared it with my SUNPAK UV filter. The FASIUCHOI is slightly thinner than the SUNPAK. The lens cap went on with no difficulties.I took a couple photos with each filter on the lens, then compared expanded images side by side on my computer, and noticed no discernable differences.Bottom line, this is a very decent filter for very little cash. I doubt professional photographers would consider it, but for amateurs like me, it works. Despite the less-than-smooth threads, I give it 4 1/2 stars rounded up to five stars based on value.
