I am very familiar with this type of timer. I've had several. I use them to automatically turn my 1500 watt espresso machine on and off. They generally last at least 2-3 years. They are inexpensive and easy to program. This one arrived in an unsealed box, completely dead. i left it plugged in all night, still dead. The seller, HITRENDS, obviously resold me a returned unit that had been sent back because it was defective. Shame on you HITRENDS! Thank you for wasting my time!

I use it mainly as a countdown timer to turn off a water distiller before it boils the tank dry, which helps keep scale buildup to a minimum. The model I purchased in early 2025 seems to have improved the programming over the same model purchased in 2021. Some people still say it is difficult to program and the instructions aren't the best. But a little patience and practice will reveal just how flexible this little gadget really is. Unlike other digital outlet timers that don't time accurately because they lack a built-in clock, this one has a clock and it is very accurate. Plus the built-in battery backup really helps too. I would buy this again.

The good news is that this timer is easy to program with good instructions. After a few days of use it has held its time accurately and worked flawlessly. It also has battery power back-up in case of house power loss. To me, that's a big deal. That someone had the expertise to make this a timer that can be set to any part of a week, like a lawn sprinkler timer, is really genius. The timer lets me power a small 2 amp battery charger once a week, for a six hour interval, to keep a 12 volt automobile battery in fully charged state.I have had so many different types of timers with difficult programming instructions it drives me crazy. And if you happen to lose the printed program sheet, my condolences. Now I have taken the extra step of scanning the sheet and saving it to the PC under instruction manuals.

I use this timer on a small heater, in a bathroom that does not have any other heat source. If you read the enclosed instructions, thoroughly, it's not hard to figure out.

This product seems to work ok. I was just a bit disappointed that you cannot get it to work to the shortest 5 sec period accuracy. For example I cannot set it to change states during only 5 sec period Best minimum time is about 1 minute accuracy

It was easy to program and it is nice you can change it to either 12 or 24 hour clock. Works as I hoped it would and worth the money.

A video would be nice (I think I found one on another of their similar products). If you know electrical, not a problem with their documentation. If you don't, then you will need help.Running a 1 hp well pump. Handles the load easily. Could not use extension cords. But, once I switched to direct wiring, it work perfectly and the wiring at the timer did not get hot.Great value for heavy load timer.

Now, I'm waking up to coffee and not having to trudge downstairs to plug it in. A super timer, this little thing has been flawless in operation since we figured out the instructions. It's all in the Mode button. Just interpret what mode you want it to be in. Big tip: "Auto Off" is where you want to be if you are setting it to turn on a device on its own. For example, I set my coffee pot in Program to come on every day at 9:00 a.m. Once that is set in Program, I push Clock to get it back to current time. Then, I push Mode until I see "Auto Off". Then, I go to bed. In the morning, when I'm through with coffee, I simply push Mode button until I see "Off" -- at which point the orange light goes out and the timer turns off the coffee maker. If I want to turn it back on manually (e.g., afternoon coffee), I just push the Mode button until I see "On". It's really that easy, but we don't need the other more complex timer functions. Finally, this is one of those electronic things that are solid state and well-made. I've had this thing going every day for a month and I can't imagine it breaking down anytime soon.

I bought this Digital Timer to use with my water distiller because it has the countdown timer feature. I have only used the countdown feature so far, I have not tried the daily or weekly programs. But it works perfect for what I need it for. I will admit, it did take a bit of effort trying to understand the instruction sheet, but everything makes sense once you figure it out.For water distillers, the best thing is not to let them run dry and shut off by themselves, because the residue will form a hard crust at the bottom of the distiller and will be difficult to clean, and also the internal thermal switch is usually the first thing to break down if used constantly. So I basically have my water distiller plugged into the digital timer and set the countdown timer to shut it off after 5 hours and 20 minutes. That leaves about 1/2 inch of water still at the bottom of the distiller with all of the residue suspended in it that can simply be poured out. The best thing is that I no longer have to babysit my water distiller. I can start my distiller right before I go to bed and when I get up the next morning, I have a fresh batch of clean and pure water ready to use.The digital timer itself is pretty large. If you plug the timer into the bottom outlet, it will cover the top outlet, but if you plug it into the top outlet, the bottom outlet will be available to plug something else into, as shown in my photo. The digital display is pretty large and easy to read in good light, but in dark or dim lighting, you will need a flashlight since the display is not backlit. I do wish that when using the countdown timer, that it would display the countdown time remaining instead of the clock time. But not too big a deal since I've mostly been running it over night.Bottom line: This is working great for me. I'm glad I purchased it and would recommend it.
