This replaced the timer installed with my quiet cool house fan. It was an easy swap because both switches had the same wire layout. This product was advertised as white. It is actually an off white so did not match my existing true white on/off switch and frame.

Easy to install, and worked as advertised. I installed it to control a porch ceiling fan, which was frequently getting left on. Problem now solved. I would recommend this timer switch.

Great product, great price, easy to follow instructions. My first one is working great and has the 1,2,4,8 hours setting. This one will be use to keep my roof drain (have a flat roof) from freezing

This is a very effective and easy to use timer. Woods' next generation of it will no doubt provide a more versatile and precise method of setting the duration, such as a 0-999 minute display with up/down arrows for setting each digit. It's amazing that it fits in a single gang space. I mounted it in a 4+5/8" square gray plastic box with a duplex socket, standard white two-gang decora cover and power cord with grip. I use it to prevent over-charging expensive battery packs (for drills, saws, etc.) which are supplied with a "primitive" (unregulated and untimed) charger. Each press of the button in the bottom left corner cycles through the 4 durations (and back to off) to select the desired interval. Once running, the display shifts down and displays the maximum remaining time, also a nice feature. For example, after 4 hours at "12", "8" will display, etc.

Nice product and it works well. It isn't obvious that it needs to be set to the time desired every time. The button isn't a on-off button, it is a select button. It also doesn't fit well in a decora plate with multiple bays.I found that the timer was recessed at least 1/8" deeper than the standard light switches sitting right next to it. It went into a 4 switch decora plate.I also couldn't find this exact switch in almond - only white.

In my opinion, It's the best out there. I have done lot of research, reverse engineering on lot of other timers. I bought couple of those last year for some projects. I also got "Woods 59007 Decora Style 30-15-10-5" for all the bath exhausts because Kids never either turn it OFF. Now one less thing to worry about.Just follow the instruction which come with the box, make sure turn the breaker OFF, relax and sip some coffee or drink of your choice, make your notes for installation. If still confused, please consult friends or neighbors for help. Good luck. Once it's done you will be happy.
