I bought the 8 awg for a 62lb trolling motor. I had to return the cable because, although it's very heavy duty and very well made, it has 2 cons: it is far more rigid than the original trolling motor cable, although it's the same gauge, and it is very heavy. If you don't use it for applications that need this cable to be portable, don't hesitate. it is very well built

I installed a new battery in side x side . It was too big for the original location so I relocated it .the cables went from the new to the old locations .
