Works great, but is the reverse of what I needed it for. I needed it to power a high power consuming POE ++ camera, yet it's design is to take a POE feed from a single ethernet cable and split it into an ethernet cable and a seperate DC 12v power supply. For Routers and NON POE devices. In those instances it works, but it's not what I was expecting or wanting.

Great POE Splitter

First, I want to mention this review is for the 51W 802.3bt model of this splitter, not the smaller one that is also in the listing.I am using this PoE Splitter to power a NAS that draws about 20w max. I have tested it across three different PoE devices, being a TP-Link PoE++ injector, a Ubiquiti Switch 16 PoE (supports PoE+), and a random Netgear PoE+ switch. On the PoE injector, I had no problems with it whatsoever to power the NAS. On the Ubiquiti Switch, it also worked fine (with the exception of a single event where the splitter stopped outputting power for a second), and I was averaging around 12-18 watts of power draw (well within the limits of PoE+). However, the Netgear switch absolutely wasn't having it. Every 10-20 minutes, the switch would randomly reboot with this connected, but it would suddenly stop when disconnecting it. I even disconnected the load from this (so it wasn't powering anything) and the switch was still constantly rebooting. I've never experienced this issue on any of my other PoE devices with that switch, so this tells me something is acting up with this splitter. For now, I'll just leave it connected through the Ubiquiti switch as that seems mostly reliable, and good enough to power my backup NAS. However, I would look for other options first before considering this, as it may not work reliably with your setup.
