Introduction:
The USB-C PD system can replace traditional AC adapters or heavy grips or batteries, it allows you to power your camera using the external powerbank/charger with USB 3.1 Type-C output to achieve long time shooting, no need to replace camera battery again and again.
Connect the USB-C Type-C plug to power source and put the coupler into the camera battery compartment to provide stable and continuous power supply for your camera.

Instructions:
Please use the power bank/charger with PD 9V/12V protocol output.
Firstly, plug the Type-C charging cable into the power bank/charger.
Finally, install the dummy battery into the camera battery compartment and close the battery lid.
Please follow the installation sequence when using it, otherwise some cameras will not turn on.
(Kindly note: If the installation sequence is reversed and the camera does not turn on, just take the dummy battery out of the camera compartment and reinstall it to turn it on ).

Didn’t work for me. The green light turns on but doesn’t work to power my camera tried using a power bank as well as using a wall plug.

What can I say? It works. No more faffing with batteries every hour on set. Just be aware that a PD power bank can only be used for the camera at one time. Second you plug another device in camera shuts off. Pick up a tiny extra bank if you need a supplemental cooling fan or something

This didn’t work for me at all. Your mileage may vary.The price was so small it wasn’t worth dealing with a return, so I don’t know about their customer support. The event I needed this for had passed, so it just wasn’t worth the trouble.

This is an excellent product that allowed my R8 to record the entire 2 hour limit while connected to a PD power bank.Only 4 stars due to slow shipping for a product from Amazon.

I use my Canon EOS R8 quite a bit and my photo/video usage is split about 50/50 with a slight lean towards video. While I find the LP-E17 are adequate for photography, for video they are less than adequate. That’s where this dummy batter power adaptor comes in handy. I paired this with an Anker powercore battery/charger supply and I can now shoot 4K video for hours remotely! This has become an essential part of my camera kit and if I lost it, I’d buy another. Highly recommended!
