I installed this in my 97 F350 about 2 1/2 years ago. I very seldom drive the truck. I've driven it maybe 25-30 times in that 2 1/2 years. The switch has already deteriorated to the point that it only works when the pedal is pressed hard against the floorboard. I've tried cleaning it, to no avail. I have resorted to pulling out this switch and jumpering the harness. I have replaced a similar switch in my 95 Ranger (similar, but different part #) with a switch from SMP (Standard Motor Products) that has been working well for 5 years now with much more frequent use.

WOW, very disappointed, this switch broke, today is March 19th, deadline to return was the 16th.That sure was some money waisted.

The hardest part was crawling under my steering wheel. Once I got situated though, the part slipped right on and snapped into place perfectly.
