I had to drill through bathroom floor tile to run a water line. This bit worked very well. I reamed a bit to fit the 1/2 pex.

So wifey wanted a hole in her favorite ceramic pot. I looked on Amazon, and good this product. It worked like a charm. I have a Dewalt drill and was easy to use. Great stability, size and value.

I recently purchased the Larouoba 8pcDiamond Drill Bit set for some DIY projects I had planned, and I have to say, I'm impressed with the style and design. The blue color gives it a sleek and modern look, which is a nice departure from the standard black or silver drill bits. However, I'm unsure if the diamonds used in the bits are real or synthetic. While the bits do seem to work well and are able to drill through porcelain tile, ceramic, stone, granite, and marble with ease, I can't help but wonder about the quality and durability of the diamonds. That being said, the set comes with a range of sizes from 3/16" to 5/8", which makes it versatile and useful for a variety of projects. The hex shank also ensures a secure fit and easy use with a drill.Overall, while I'm not completely convinced about the authenticity of the diamonds used in the Larouoba 8pcDiamond Drill Bit set, the style and range of sizes make it a solid purchase for DIY enthusiasts.

These look like they’d be great, but I couldn’t get the shank into my driver drill. The paint appears to be so thick that it’s not able to fit. My project is delayed as I send these back and order something else.

My experience in drilling into concrete and bricks has been using a hammer drill and a hammer drill bit. But the hammer drill is not for fine jobs, definitely not for glass, ceramics etc..I fitted a Larouoba 1/2" (12mm) diamond bit into my cordless drill and proceeded to drill a hole on the bottom of a small bottle. The drill bit is hollow, diamond on the outside and the edge, with a hard wax filled inside. For keeping the drill bit cool I immersed the bottle in water in a pot, just enough to cover the bottom of the inverted bottle, where I commenced to drill the hole. With a little bit of practice, I could get the hole to start, and drilled a sort of circular canal, without breaking through. Proceeding deeper was taking time, probably because the wax plug in the core of the bit was not warm enough to give way, due to the cooling effect of the water. But ultimately I succeeded in drilling a neat hole in a glass bottle. My first. This was followed by a number of random trials in bricks. The Larouoba diamond bits are in a set of 8 in a neat box. The colourful label has instruction on how to drill with a diamond bit set. The drill bits are of good quality. My experimental drilling did not show much wear and tear on the drill bits.Based on my experience I recommend the Larouoba 8pc Diamond Drill Bit set.

Let me start off by saying, the price for the quality is impressive. My husband use to buy similar bits from the big box stores at 20 dollars apiece before taxes. With this set you get 8 for 36 dollars after a 5 dollar coupon and the quality is just as good. They cut great. They have a wax plug in the center too keep them cool while drilling. The wax won't last long, and I am not sure I would trust that to keep them cool anyway. I would recommend constantly dipping them into cool water as you drill, as to not burn out the diamond coating. There is quite a bit of diamond on these, triple the ones you see on Amazon with a chrome colour shank and selling for about a dollar a piece. These drill at least 15 to 20 holes IF KEPT COOL. The other ones typically drill 3 to 4 holes in porcelain tile before they are toast. Remember to always start the bit on an angle so as to get it scored, slowly straighten the bit as you are drilling to get a complete round indentation in the tile before you try and drill it like a regular drill bit into wood. If not, they will walk right off the tile, scoring it as it goes, and essentially ruining the tile. The only drawback to these compared to others my husband has used is, they do not have a cut out on the side of the bit, to clear out the plug, after drilling a hole. My husband solved that problem by drilling out the wax and pushing a drill bit into the shaft to clear the plug. If you dont you will get the plugs stuck in the shaft rendering the bit pretty much useless. and that is why I removed half a star. Other than that, they are perfect. They also come in a plastic container to keep them from getting lost. My husband has drilled probably over a thousand holes into tile using these diamond style core bits and has stated these are as good as he as ever tried. He has used them on porcelain, marble, ceramic and granite, and they cut well into each, just remember to keep them cool. I hope this helps in your decision making.

These arrived slightly damaged, which says something about the sturdiness but it doesn't affect the overall function. One of the bits fell out of the base of the container and rattled around in the container before it arrived. The bit attacked two other bits and chipped the paint off the others. Meh :The side of the bit has a depth measure painted on but this can be removed just as easily as the blue paint in use. I guess the 'solution' to that paint removal issue is to not drive the bit to the same depth but that's a mediocre solution. A big improvement would be to cast the metal with the gauge in the side and mark it as imperial. But, these do cut. They heat up and cut through masonry as described. With a favorite quote 'it can cut!' (see if you get that reference). I can't fault them as they cut like they should, but like many things in life, there's room for improvement.

My husband recently tested the Larouoba 8pc Diamond Drill Bit Set, and while the product is adequate for occasional use, it may not meet the expectations of professionals or avid DIY enthusiasts. The set includes a variety of sizes, ranging from 3/16" to 5/8", which allows for versatility in drilling tasks. These masonry drill bits are designed for drilling through materials such as porcelain tile, ceramic, stone, granite, and marble. The hex shank ensures compatibility with most standard drill chucks and provides decent grip during the drilling process.During testing, my husband found that the drill bits performed reasonably well on softer materials, like ceramic and porcelain tile. However, when tackling tougher materials like granite and marble, the bits seemed to struggle and wear down faster than anticipated. For someone working on a small project or needing a drill bit set for sporadic use, these bits may suffice, but professionals or heavy users should consider other options.Another issue we encountered was the lack of clear instructions or guidelines for using the drill bits. A novice user might struggle with proper technique or optimal drilling speed, which could lead to less-than-ideal results or reduced bit lifespan. In conclusion, the Larouoba 8pc Diamond Drill Bit Set is a so-so choice for occasional or casual users. While the range of sizes and compatibility with various materials is a plus, the durability and performance on harder materials leave much to be desired. If you're a professional or require a high-quality masonry drill bit set for frequent use, it's probably best to look elsewhere.

The pros can tell you how long these will last after drilling many holes. I only have to drill a few, so this set of eight bits will certainly last me quite a while. More important for me is how easily they cut glass and porcelain, if I go about it in the right way. The wax core sounds like a good idea, but I maybe drill too slow to create enough heat to melt the wax, so I use water on the bits from the start. These bits have been effective for drilling glass to create a hole for cables to go through and for drilling a porcelain vase to make a lamp. I haven't tried a lot of other brands, but these seem more than adequate and the price is right.
