As someone who has been making cakes for many years, I find these cake drums to be sturdy and reliable, perfect for supporting my creations. They hold up well even with heavier cakes, and the three different sizes in the package are super convenient for the variety of round cakes I make.I also love how well these pair with column pedestals for multi-tiered cakes—they provide a solid base that works beautifully for layered designs.The only drawback is that the foil covering sometimes has creases, which can be a bit of a hassle to cover or work around. However, it’s not a major issue and doesn’t take away from the overall functionality of the drums.If you’re looking for a dependable set of cake drums, these are a great choice! These Cake Drums are thick and sturdy and nicely decorated, which makes them easy to carry and use for everything from small family layer cakes to fancy, multi-tiered party cakes.The stick on feet are easy to apply, sturdy enough not to have to worry about them compressing, and thick enough so I can get my fingers under the drum for easy lifting.The board coverings are well done with minimal wrinkling (and certainly much nicer than I can do myself). I particularly like the gold, which has a lovely pattern that makes it look very elegant.I'm not a professional and can't speak to how well they'll work for those purposes, but I do bake and decorate layer cakes for family events and struggle to find the right boards for my cakes. These are absolutely perfect, and will make my events over the next year much easier and less stressful (at least where the cake is concerned).
