Great product. Easy to punch down the ethernet wires using the provided tool. The coax cable connects easy. Simply puch the wires, screw on the coax and screw in the two provided plate screws into the electric box.

I used this on Cat 8 cable which already had terminal ends. I cut the cable to length and the wires were so thin, the terminal end provided would not pierce the insulation. When I tried stripping the wire it kept breaking. I ended up using a lighter to melt wire insulation off the ends, then wrapped the exposed wire around the insulation, then jammed that into the terminal end provided. That worked, but a pain in rump. Not sure if the Cat 6 terminal end provided is partly to blame or if all issues was wire I used. Overall it worked, but not sure if I can give it a higher rating on that one experience.

Don't buy a crimping tool for adding a cat cable outlet, just buy this one.

This is a simple Cat5 and coax wall connector plate. It is sturdy, looks well and works great. The Cat5 port is removeable to facilitate the punch down.

I agree with all the other reviews regarding the overall ease of installation, appearance, and quality of this item. I'll also reiterate that you'll want to keep and reuse your original wall plate screws assuming they're painted white, as the screws included with this are not. The key point of my review is to confirm that the included punch tool works well. I had to convert RJ11 landline via CAT5E in-home wiring to RJ45 Ethernet endpoints, and this basic tool was simple to use and provided good tactile feedback - a soft click - when each individual wire was properly seated. As I researched, I learned that others either bought a $15+ dedicated punch tool right off, or recommended that after trying this tool and considering it to be inferior. But I can say unconditionally that the punch tool included here works just fine, and as a result, our new wall-mounted Ethernet jack now provides exactly the same blazing fast and uninterruptible connection speed as originally measured when connected directly to our router using a single wire. I subsequently ordered two more of these wall jacks for other bedrooms in our house, knowing that we'll never use their landline jacks, but easy access to Ethernet is good for us and whoever eventually buys our house.

Needed to change an existing RG6 wall plate connection to both RG6 & Ethernet. This made the change simlple and works well. There's no noticable degrading of the RG6 signal for cable & Internet ( didn't measure with a device). I was able to establish a Gigabit Full Duplex connection when device was connected. They included everything, be even the multi tool for punchdown, cutting, & stripping cable.
