This is the easiest way to add a new plug without running electrical wire. Needed a plug for our TV. Found this jem. Was able to have it set up in an afternoon with all the cables for the TV and soundboard hidden without having to worry about running new wires. Much safer

Not an electrician, so I'm not comfortable with adding another outlet to an existing one. This is a great alternative. I already have one of these installed for one room and needed another. It's fairly easy to install (assuming there aren't any obstacles inside your wall) and shouldn't take too long. You can fit a fair amount of cords through, but I only need a few. You only need a couple tools, something to cut your drywall and a screwdriver.The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of five is because the other recessed outlet that I personally bought was about $10 or $15 less than this one, so there are definitely cheaper options out there. However, I've seen some for $65 or more, so I won't rate this lower than 4 stars. If you've don't have the experience or time, this is definitely a good alternative to adding to an existing outlet.
