Purchased for my daughter's 2015 Audi A3 which did not have a back-up camera. I love the way this integrates the camera into the mirror as any other monitor in the cabin would be crowded and distracting. Overall great picture quality, especially during the day. At night, the monitor can be a bit distracting and typically we turn off unless going in reverse. The visibility in this car was poor especially backing up, so this camera meets the need well. It can be turned off by touching the screen for 3 seconds and used as a regular mirror (not a great mirror, but sufficient) if the camera is distracting. The product is 4 or 5 stars in terms of quality, but the reason I chose 5 stars overall is because of the customer service. The standard brackets did not fit this Audi model, so they sent me a customer bracket (#141) free of charge which works perfectly after removing the old mirror and transferring the metal clip the bracket they sent me. They were super helpful and quick to resolve, even if shipping time from China was ~2 weeks. Also I had to purchase 2 fuse taps for regular mini fuses, as the ones that came with the kit were low profile fuses. Not a huge deal, and can get these inexpensively on Amazon or a bit more at a local auto store. Installation was straightforward and requires tucking wires behind pillars, headliner, and coverings in trunk and trunk lid - so took some time but was worth it once complete. Guidelines when in reverse are a nice feature.Overall very pleased - be prepared to overcome a challenge or two with installation removing panels etc, but the product itself and customer service at Autovox are really solid. I do hope it lasts!

I bought the rearview mirror backup camera for my 2003 Toyota Tacoma. I had 2 issues with being an older truck. First the mirror connection adaptor did not work on my truck, so I contacted customer support and they sent me an amazon link for a windshield glue and credited the cost of that from my mirror order. Secondly, my truck uses mini fuses and not the micro fuses that come with the adaptor for the mirror. I contacted Gigi at customer support again, and she promptly sent me another amazon link for the mini fuse adaptor and immediately credited the cost from my mirror order. Gigi was great at helping me out, very prompt, and also always followed up to make sure everything was working. Much better customer support than I ever expected and was very pleased! The install takes some time, as you have to take trim pieces off and have to find a good route to zip-tie the cable underneath the truck to run it to the rear of the truck. Besides running the wire and making sure it is hidden and secured, its pretty much plug and play. I took the time to take my taillight off and splice into the reverse light, that way the camera automatically turns on and displays the reverse lines when I put my truck in reverse. I highly recommend spending the extra effort to go that route as well. The picture quality is good and the mirror screen is good quality as well. I also really like that the entire mirror is the screen, as it makes it a good size to actually see what you are looking at through the camera! The only thing I would change if I could, would for the camera to be a bit more of a wide angle, as I really want to see everything when I'm getting close with my rear bumper. I would also prefer there was a quick on screen button to turn the camera display off and go back to reflective mirror mode. There is a 1min. or 3min. auto off mode when you are driving, but sometimes I would like to be able to turn off the screen with a touch of a button and not have to wait the 1 or 3 minutes. All-in-all, its a good system, fairly easy install, great customer support, and am happy with the product. I would definitely recommend this aftermarket backup camera!

The T9 is a big improvement over our Sprinter motorhome's previous standard definition traffic monitor camera and dash-mounted monitor. However, I replaced the camera (advertised incorrectly as being 140 degrees wide) after testing the camera and finding that it's view is only 115 degrees wide as indicated in the manual that came with the product and also confirmed with Auto-Vox technical support. I'm using a similar size compatible 170 degree camera from another supplier to be able to monitor traffic in adjacent lanes, close to the rear of the motorhome. The attached photo shows the T9 touch screen-controlled video playback taken by the replacement camera. Video playback looks even better if the SD memory card is removed for computer monitor playback; not as good as 2K/4K video would be, but nice to have on a monitor that offers so many other great features. The T9's location up in the center of the windshield is out of the heat and sun glare that was a problem with our previous dash-mounted monitor. Our motorhome never had a normal windshield mounted rear view mirror due to the lack of sight line through the coach area; the T9 is a welcome addition. The video quality (detail, color) is really good - and no more blind spot directly behind the motorhome or having to look at two different side mirrors to try to keep track of traffic (side mirrors still needed for lane changes). Due to the mirror/monitor's shape it only displays a touch screen-adjustable slice of the full camera view, which works fine for driving forward. Then when shifting into reverse, the monitor automatically shifts the view to the lowest slice of the camera view and adds in touch screen-adjustable parking guide lines - perfect for backing up our motorhome into a campsite! There is also an optional digital clock display in the upper right corner - I leave it off to have the best view of traffic. The included windshield mount adapters did not work for our MB Sprinter windshield mount, but as advertised, Auto-Vox technical support quickly sent me the correct adapter after I provided a photo of our windshield mount. I purchased a video cable extension to get access to the reverse input connection wire close to the dashboard area where our reverse trigger wire is located. The included video cable assumes easy access to the backup light wiring at the rear of the vehicle, which is not the case for our high mounted rear camera and down low backup lights. The T9 info I've shared with fellow Sprinter motorhome owners has already generated lots of interest.
