This is a high quality pan. Mine was perfectly constructed and blemish free. It is strong and yet not so heavy even though it has a thick “heavy” bottom for even heat distribution. The handles are also heavy duty. The graduation marks are engraved into the stainless and legible. And as any pan designed for evaporating, the side wall is flared, widening at the top.Wish I had this years ago. My old jam pan was not designed for jam (and salsa, etc). While it had a thick bottom and was stainless, its side was not flared and was way too tall for this purpose. It’s nice to now have a purpose built pan like this.

This large pot is perfect for making large batches of hot cocoa for the entire family. In the past, I've used the largest pot available to me, which has a nonstick coating. Nonstick isn't ideal for hot cocoa making due to the intense whisking that needs to be done. This pot alleviated my anxiety about using my beloved whisk. I can go at the sugar, cocoa and milk with more force using this stainless steel pot, without worrying about scratching a nonstick coating off and releasing harmful forever chemicals into my hot cocoa. I love the larger than normal size of the pot. The size helps to keep chocolate splatter to a minimum on my stovetop and countertops as I whisk away. The pour spout is another welcome upgrade from the pots I've used in the past. The bucket-style top handle makes it so much easier to dispense, as opposed to fixed side handles. And let's be honest-- aside from the functionality, this pot is simply gorgeous!!

This pot is great. I don't know how lived without it. I had never heard of a maslin pan before. It is very well constructed, very sturdy and holds a ton of food. It doesn't come with a lid, but I have one that fits, and it works really well for blanching large amounts of fruits and veggies. Of course for jams, or soups or stocks or large batches of anything it's so handy, .ove the handle which also lock in place while upright. The measures on the side are great and easy to read. I love this pot and seem to find new uses for it everyday.

Nice sized pan. Good for a big pot of stew although I got it primarily to make giant batches of old fashioned honeycomb candy. The stainless finish is decent, but not amazing. The interior is also decent, but mine had a few minor blemishes. I really like that the main handle can remain in the upright position due to slight notches in the brackets, yet it’s easy enough to “unlock” the handle to release it. The side handle is perfect to help pour out the contents. At first glance, the pouring lip seemed just a tad tiny for such a large pan, however, I found that that sized spout made it easier to control and maintain slowly pouring a constant small stream of liquid, so in the end I have no qualms about the spout size. And the internal notched measurement markings are a nice touch. I’d say the rivets are okay but some but don’t sit that flush against the side of the pan wall. It isn’t that heavy, weighing in at 3 lbs, 10.9 oz (1671g) which is probably a benefit when full of liquid, however, I have a couple small 8” egg pans that actually weigh about half the weight of this enormous pan, just to give you some perspective. I also got the feeling that it might dent easily if dropped. And since I probably won’t use it to make jam, I would have liked a lid of some sort.Overall, its size fits in well with the rest of my cookware, I’ll tell you what.

This will be my soup pot when the whole family comes over. Very large and will work on my new induction stove. Love the handle, wish it had a lid though.

As a true maslin pan, this has very specific and somewhat limited utility, but for me, the spout is not significant enough that I would feel comfortable pouring hot liquid or jelly out of this while holding either handle. I tried it with some cold water and didn't feel like there was enough control. Shape is right - it's wide and squat, which is ideal for cooking off liquid, but a lid would help make it more practical for not jam-making use cases. On the plus side, it's not aluminum, it's steel, so you don't have to worry about reaction issues.

This is a very well crafted pan that has been a great addition to my canning supplies. The first thing I noticed is that there has been thought included in the design, the handle on the side is very ergonomic and easy to hold, I like the large top handle that fold out of the way, but also let you get a safe hold on the pot. The measurements on the inside are large, well defined, and easy to read. All components of the pot are strongly riveted on for a longer lifespan in my opinion. This is a nice heavy duty pot that retains an even and consistent temperature, unlike many thin wall pots, though heavy duty it’s not overweight and comber some. Even if not a canner or jam maker this really has so much versatility to be used for anything that you may be making in a large batch. It has a nice pour spout on the lip making it easy to pour without everything running down the side of the pot.Overall I am very pleased with this product and would highly recommend as a quality, well built pot. It is definitely a value and worth every penny.

This is a very nice pan. I was new to this kind of pan, so I'm not an expert in this or jam-making, but I do a lot of cooking and this seems really useful and versatile. As I mentioned in the title, it was quite a bit larger than expected, even though I knew it holds 9 quarts. (I put a soda can in it in one of my photos so you can see for yourself.) It has quite a few nice little features:- Measuring gradations on the inside- There's a nice spout for pouring on one side- The other side has a handle to help you control it when pouring- If you want, you can set the handle so it stands straight up in the air due to two thoughtfully designed notches in the hingeAdditionally, it just feels very sturdy and well made. Overall I'm very pleased with it.
