Preparation Before Installing a New Battery
- First check if the battery is the same size as your original battery after receiving it.
- Before disassembling your laptop, put the old battery charge below 25%.
- We recommend that you search for battery removal tutorials on the Internet in advance, or seek help from a professional technician. We won't responsible for any damage due to improper operation.
- When installing the battery, pay attention to whether the battery cable is fixed. If the battery cable is not installed correctly, the battery may not be charged.
Common Troubleshooting Methods (1)
After installing a new battery, if your Mac fails to charge the battery, the Mac won't turn on, fans are spinning fast, or the Mac laptop is overheating. Resetting the SMC can resolve some less common issues related to power or thermal management.
Follow these steps:
- Shut down your Mac.
- Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds, then release the button. (Every Mac has a power button. On laptops with Touch ID, press and hold Touch ID.)
- Wait a few seconds, then press the power button to turn on your Mac.
Common Troubleshooting Methods (2)
If the problem persists, reset the SMC:
- Shut down your Mac.
- On the keyboard, press and hold all of the following keys. Your Mac might turn on. (1)Control on the left side of the keyboard; (2)Option (Alt) on the left side of the keyboard; (3)Shift on the right side of the keyboard.
- Press and hold the three keys for 7 seconds, then press and hold the power button without releasing the keys. If your Mac is on, it will shut down when you hold down these keys.
- Continue to hold the four keys for 7 seconds, then release the keys.
- Wait a few seconds, then press the power button to turn on your Mac.

Battery has already gone into health issues, and has not hardly been used it was for a gift.Will not start up without being plugged in! Definitely not worth the money.

So I installed this battery. I’m not a newbie to battery changes. I had trouble starting the laptop. It need a mouse or laptop to get past the locked screen. And the worse part is the laptop does not recognize the battery. So the laptop needs to be connected to 130 power. What’s the sense of installing a new battery. Very disappointed.

The product worked great for about 6 months then wouldn’t hold a charge anymore. I am pretty sure I purchased the extended warranty but the Amazon invoice does not show a breakdown of the charge. Figuring out how to utilize the warranty is proving challenging.

ORDER A BATTERY AND CHANGE IT YOURSELF. it's soooo easy to change and buying a battery is way cheaper than taking your computer to apple and have them do it. Took 20 minutes and my computer is working like new

On 03/18/2023, I placed an order for a battery. However, it didn't meet my expectations and performed similarly to my old battery. I reached out to customer service and received a prompt response. After explaining the issue I was facing, they assured me they would send me a replacement. Just 2 days later, I received the new battery, which is functioning perfectly. I am grateful for their excellent service.

works good was easy to install, old battery had 3 adhesive pull tabs on each side the new battery did not come with new adhesive I used some old ones I had from a previous MacBook Pro, also the speakers on this model are held in place with adhesive. you will need to put new adhesive on the speakers during reassembly. the new battery mAh is 4736 and before it was 4379. only been using 3 days seems good, make sure to drain the battery and charge 3 times to calibrate new battery this will take a good amount of time. new battery has been lasting about 7 hours in my testing.
