Cannot rate battery life or longevity as it was just installed. There are great youtube videos depending on you model how to disassemble laptop and install battery. Fortunately I found one that were exact steps. Went slow and after install, plugged in power cord and orange charge light came on! Let is partially charge for 10min and removed power cord. Pressed notebook power button and the light came on which meant battery power working, Plugged in power cord and restarted notebook to be greated by a screen that had a message that CMOS had changed, restarting. I thought uh-oh but apparently the BIOS recognized a new battery and different mAH and adjusted BIOS setting. Let it reboot, fully charge until 100% (1/2hr) and opened battery setings in Win10. Showed battery 100% and which apps use the most. You can select any of them on the list and thd drop down has "let windows decide, never, always". It shows which apps use the most when on battery power which I never knew was available in Win10 battery page. Also, the main model# at top was the same but part# different. Same screw holes and connection type so I went slow and held my breath after install and restart. Will run thru 3 full cycles, then fully charge and leave overnight in sleep mode to see how much battery drop as wi-fi uses some and being in sleep, apps are somewhat using power. If good cells, I would expect 10% ma drop overnight in sleep with wi-fi and location ON

Best Buy's Geek Squad removed my old battery from the laptop because it was "swollen" & a fire danger. They installed this one & a new hardrive & laptop like new.

Best $40 I ever spent. Battery is as described by seller, arrived within 5 days and is easy to install with the right tools (tiny tech screwdrivers with the correct heads and plastic pry bars to get the case apart). This battery revived my dying HP Envy 17m-bw0xxx laptop. The old battery failed completely - would no longer hold any charge - and began to "swell," pushing the laptop case apart. I always keep my laptop plugged in so it was still operable but behaving very erratically. Once the new battery was installed, the laptop's erratic behavior disappeared & operation returned to normal. I have not yet tested the battery life or longevity but still recommend if you suspect a battery issue with your laptop.

The price was reasonable for this HP battery. I would rather go with original battery than an off brand. Glad I switched it out, the old battery was swollen. Taking laptop apart was a chore, but once chassis was removed, installation was incredibly simple.
