This little fan really packs a punch! I have no heat source in my kitchen so I placed this fan in the upper corner of the doorway. It is 15 degrees outside today and my kitchen is a comfortable 72 degrees. Easy to install!

Used to move air into my bedroom from a pellet stove. Been running since last season and still works.I should have bought two. It's mounted in the doorway, could do with more warm air for the room.

This was purchased with the intent of using it as an exhaust fan, mounted on the window frame of a batjroom that has some significant functional limitations. It has worked out perfectly. After three years, it still functions with its variable speed as it did when it was new. 1/3 to half speed is sufficient to clear a small bathroom of all humidity in 10 - 15 minutes. At 1/2 to full speed, it's pushes more volume, but it's noticeably louder. However, no need for 1/2 to full speed in this application. This variable speed switch has held up, but I've been quite gentle with it. Excellent fan.

my old fans had been up quite awhile and were very noisy and hardly blew air anymore. New ones are really nice, have adjustable air control and are quiet. yay, I can hear the tv again. And they are metal, not plastic like the old ones, good quality, good price.

Easy install, all necessary items included. On medium speed, the noise is not off-putting. You come to ignore it and it becomes white noise. Beware the speed control dial if using in a bedroom for generating airflow - there is a white indicator light that is bright out of all proportion. This fixed cold spots in my home by generating a return flow of colder air. We put it up high, next to the ceiling, and on medium it blows enough of the warm air up there towards the other end of the room and generates a return flow to the heater, evening out the heat in the room. No more cold spots. Bought a second one for a different part of the house. Good little fan.

This a well built fan. It has a solid metal body, is smooth running, and it moves a lot of air.The speed controller works, but "low" isn't really low. Speed controller "low" is what I would call medium. As a result, I couldn't bring the fan speed down to a level where the airflow noise was acceptable to me.I wouldn't call the fan unreasonably loud - it's just that it's built to move a lot of air, and with that fan speed comes noise.Where I take issue is that the fan claims a minimum loudness of 21dB (assume at a "low" setting). 21dB is *extremely* quiet - pretty much inaudible. Even on its lowest setting, this fan is always audible. The claimed maximum loudness of 47dB (assume at high setting) is much more believable.

I mounted this fan in one upper corner of the doorway into a bedroom, in order to blow some warm air from the hallway into the bedroom. Even though the fan is "free-hanging" without any external ducting, it does fairly well at bringing in some warmth without producing very noticeable noise (when running at low-to-medium speeds. The fan does make noise when running at full speed that is noticeable, but not loud, at 10'-15' away). The mounting brackets allow various mounting options, and the one I used allows the fan to be "aimed" at a desired horizontal angle, which is helpful for directing the air flow in the optimal direction into the room. The speed controller is built in-line on the power cord, and can be mounted to a surface if desired. The only problems that I encountered were sort of specific to my situation: First, the hardwood door frame did not accept the mounting screws easily - even after I drilled some "pilot holes". Second, I did not mount the speed controller, and it's free-hanging weight caused the power cord to pull off of the terminals of the fan - so I had to tie that end of the power cord to the fan as a strain-relief. Another potential problem is that an extension cord may be needed if there is no electrical outlet nearby. (In my application, there is an outlet next to, and outside of, the door within 5' of the fan, so the cord can be plugged in without an extension, and without interfering with closing the door). Despite the minor challenges of mounting to my door frame, and a lack of aesthetics, the bottom line is that the fan moves warmth into the bedroom with barely noticeable noise, so it does well the job that I want it to do.

This is quiet for the volume of air it can supply. Adjustment ranges from about 40 cfm at 4" diameter, up to over 100 cfm at full speed - sound level proportional to flow.

Product is well packaged and very professional. I mounted it on the top of my Horizon treadmill cover as the motor was overheating. This provides the variable slow quiet speed that was needed to provide the additional cooling required to keep the motor within operating temperature. The adjustable speed is great to keep the noise level down.

I like the fan a lot. Very solid, well built, quiet, moves a ton of air, wide range of speeds available via a slick in-line speed controller, door bracket very simple and works great. The packaging is lovely...very au courant...but a bit over the top for a fan that's often installed inside a case, including glossy clear plastic envelope over the glossy, saddle stapled instruction book and a protective plastic stick-on sheet over the gloss black plastic speed knob. $800 cell phones should be this well packaged. All that said, mine came with three different packets of screws, none of which alone did what I thought should be done and the instructions were almost useless . There were two packets each with thicker, long screws and nuts and four rubber washers. To install the screens with a rubber washer behind each corner of both screens required 4 screws, 4 nuts, and 8 rubber washers which meant using all of one packet and just the washers from the second. There is also a packet of small screws and nuts and small wood screws. The "instructions" don't really say anything about all this except that the wood screws are for putting the bracket onto the side of something, which would be fine except these screws are SO small I wouldn't trust them. And no clue about what to do with the smaller screws and nuts. In fact, the instructions say I should have gotten a completely different combination of fasteners. At least all these fasteners came in no fewer than four really, really heavy-duty zip lock bags that I can reuse to sort fasteners in my shop. Also, the instructions don't say which way up to install the cord onto the fan. I picked a direction that minimized the extension of the plug beyond the housing and allows the cord to run along the side of the fan.
