This is the best hook sharpener I have found. I have ordered some rather lousy ones from Amazon always in search of a great one. Been using it a few months now and it still puts a nice sharp edge on the hooks.

Great little stone. Carry pouch is a nice touch. Will fit in most sheaths including Leatherman. The fish hook groove is a nice addition to sharpen hooks.

I bought this to sharpen my dental instruments, works fantastic! Great quality, love the channel to round the toe of the blade, makes quick work of sharpening.

I have found over the years that this is one of my all-time favorite sharpening stones! Works absolutely amazing for my hatchets, axes, knives, tomahawks and everything else in between. Also even my old ones are still in use, after about 5 years of constant sharpening it has worn down a little bit smoother than the brand new ones so it helps put an even finer edge on my blade after using a new stone! Also the nice little case is an added bonus. You can strap it to your belt or backpack, in fact I put one on my belt anytime I go out, you never know when you might need to put a sharp edge on your pocket knife. I also like these because rather than a stone they are less likely to get messed up. You don't have to worry as much about dropping it for putting too much pressure on it like the stones. All around is just a perfect sharpening stone for any occasion. I also put it next to my 3-in pocket knife for scale

This sharpener works well and it's small size makes it easy to fit into a toolkit.The only thing to note is that its case/sheath is a tight fit.

Sharpens ok, but after just a couple of times of putting it in my pocket, it broke in half.

I play in axe-throwing leagues, and this is the perfect little sharpener to keep on my belt for those quick edge fixes! Mostly when you hit a nail or a hard knot! It works VERY well! with 2 grits and also has a hood sharpener, which I haven't tried as I don't fish.

Love the stone and it's size you can put it in your pocket and it will not bother you or attach it to your belt. Only reason I give a 4 star is due to the stone holder tends to come apart on the edges because of the corners of the stone, but other than that stone is amazing.

Der kleine Diamant "Stein" ist wirklich der optimale Schleifstein für Unterwegs.Die zwei verschieden rauen Oberflächen schärfen wirklich jedes Messer, auch 64HRC Taiwanmesser, schnell, sauber und effektiv. Wenn man oft Messer mit mehr als 15cm Klingenlänge dabei hat sollte man evtl. ein größeres Modell suchen. Das Matrix Material scheint Edelstahl oder Kobaltstahl zu sein. Fühlt sich schwer und solide an. Tip für Diamant Neulinge: Nur ganz leichten Druck ausüben. Sonst kann es passieren dass die Diamanten rausgerissen werden.
