Accusize Tools Mini lathe tool holders and boring bar sets are for lathe work use, fit OXA quick change tool post. It is a set of indexable tools with carbide inserts for cutting steel, metalworking. Specially designed for 7" x 12" mini-lathe.

Specifications of each holder:
The triangle carbide TCMT inserts help you save time and money. When a cutting edge becomes dull, you just need to rotate the insert in the holder to use the sharp edge. When you buy the replacement inserts, be noted that the larger nose angles and larger tip radii enable a stronger cutting edge, but they result in increased vibration and a rougher finish.

I really like these tools. They come with super useful tool holders. The geometry of these inserts are super versatile, and the 3/8" shank fits well with the tool post on my 9x20 lathe while also providing a good amount of rigidity relative to the size. The shank is pretty short, so the actual reach from the tool post is somewhat limited. But for turning and chamfering, you should be good with these.Just a note if you are using this on a manual lathe, remember that the inserts are carbide, and they need to be treated as such. You'll get a bad surface finish if you run carbide slow. They like to cut fast and heavy!

I bought a bench top lathe that I used these on. I used them for making rings at first, then made some loader bucket pins. I don't have years of experience or anything, but these didn't give me any problmes.

Just like many of the other cheap sets out there, this one is off by a couple thou.Would need to mill off the excess.if you have a meal to do this then great, otherwise you're depending on yourself to file it down perfectly.Otherwise you are not going to get chips at all, the fact that it doesn't meet up centered to provide a clean cut, it puts a lot of stress on the work piece.You can bring the size of a stock down but you'll not be able to cut a clean face at all.

The quality and build of these tools is top notch and totally worth the price. I have a 7 x 12 lathe and I just installed a quick-change tool post, and it is like this set of cutting tools was made for it. Look no further.

These tools look well made and of decent quality for the price. However, I faced off and turned some mild steel bar with one and it chipped after about 30 mins use. Luckily they have more than one usable tip and the second one is going strong so far

While not the top name brand manufacture, seems to be of nice weight and design.It is not a typical "bargain" brand rough low quality build. If taken care of, and not abused,they should last a very long time. High praise to Accusize for good products at prices in line forthe component.T.
