This is the 3rd ACDelco C635 that I have ordered "new". Every single one of them showed signs of being used or damaged. None of them worked. I ended up putting back the original 50 year old regulator in my car since it still works, but just looks old. Oh well. I guess ACDelco doesn't know how to make these correctly anymore.

Does what it's supposed to do however it doesn't come preset you have to adjust it however there is no adjustment screw like the original unit.

I have more issues with Voltage Regulators than seems possible.This one was no exception.1971 Olds; The VR I removed was making a buzzing sound. This new one buzzed incessantly and put ion the GEN light at any low-to mid RPM rate. Idle was ok, as was higher RPM. But as soon as I get off the gas, "BZZZZZZZZZZ".I would return it but I waited for the warmer weather to put it in and now it's too late.

I put this on my 1970 nova 307, it looks like original and plugged up fine, you should order the small condenser located at the bottom of the VR , when you order this VR. It was a great price for a ACDelco, check around and you will see, dont buy the cheap stuff.

After installing this voltage regulator, the volt gauge on the car works correctly now instead of constantly being pegged at 16+. It's a USA made unit from AC Delco, not a Chinese unit like the one I tried to get at the GM Dealer.update:alternator light went on after a cruise night for a few weeks back.installed another backup unit I had and no alt light on dashboard.I think it got stuck and thankfully didn't burn anything else up
