My 250lb student broke this in 2 tries when we tested ig. It snapped off in the door and there were voids in the steel.

This item is only good for house interior doors. I went to Orlando and tried to use it and didn't work, then I went to the hotel where my brother was staying and didn't work, I don't recommend. I can't now return the item because it was only until August 28, and we went to Orlando August 30. Sometimes the vendors recommend things without making sure that works anywhere.

I Purchased, this I have four of them now with high hopes of an easy security. However, it does not work on any one of my doors. It does not work like they show. I would not recommend this at all. Do some research and find another secure easy system.
