I have four of these for our golf carts at work. While the work we'll for keeping the carts from getting tured on without permission they don't hold up well. I have had to replace a couple of them. The buttons peel off and crack.

This install was a bit of a mixed bag for me, but it wasn't the fault of this product but rather of my setup.First off, it fit in the hole where my key used to go no problem. However, there was no way to center it, since the battery meter went next to the key. This replaces the battery meter and the key... so now I have a bit square hole where the battery meter went. Not a huge deal, but including a mounting plate would have been nice.Secondly, this requires direct voltage from the battery array to get an accurate battery meter count. This isn't surprising, how else could it know your battery levels? But my wiring harness only supplies 12v for the lights... so I had to run a new set of wires from the battery to the back of this thing to get an accurate battery meter.The instructions are very sparse and broken English, so unless you know what you're doing you probably aren't going to get this done with only the instructions. However, if you can wire things up, it's an easy install.I still gave it 5-stars because it does work and it will really depend on your setup as to how easy it is to install.

My golf cart key was starting to fail. I was having to wiggle it around to get it to connect. This replaced it and got rid of my key altogether! Easy to install, but dont expect a lot of security from this though. Anyone who has this or one like it, will be able to reset thecode and steal your golf cart. But I dont ever leave mine unattended out of view so I am okay with that risk.
