I'm very happy with this stand. I looked at so many and this one has all the functionality that I wanted. I have used it with thicker and thinner books. It's sturdy and well-made. I use it when reading. I set incoming or outgoing mail on it. I use it for recipes. It will hold a pen or iPad or phone. It's very all-purpose.

It is so well made and the design has every postion you can think of, all done so quickly without all the knobs and screws of other stands. It can easily go from a paper pattern to a book, or up and down! Plus Amazon's fast shipping meant I had it the next day!

I was happily surprised when I opened this. The stand is much sturdier than I thought it would be the cost. I love how adjustable it is. I would definitely recommend this stand.

This little item looked like it would work very good as a book stand - but it literally broke apart just shortly after I received it! The backboard is not made out of real wood, but rather cheap particleboard, and it's attached to the metal base by only four small, short and flimsy screws. It crumbled apart at the bottom when I was adjusting the angle of it and tore right off the metal frame. I liked the swivel feature, but the bottom metal lip that a book would actually rest upon is only an inch wide, and so this book holder couldn't possibly accommodate any reading material except a very thin book. Honestly, it stuns me the poor quality of items that Amazon is increasingly allowing to be sold on its website.

I bought this for work as a document holder. I do a lot of data entry and this works great! It is adjustable (height), holds all the documentation with the spring metal clamps, and can rotate 360. Love the neutral colors, easy to put together. Great deal and useful for some much more!
