The small acrylic book stand measures just a little over 7 inches in width when assembled, which is less than half the size of the average book stand.Although, I was aware that it was smaller in size and that is why I ordered it as a display stand for my smaller art books. I still do advise that if you are considering ordering this bookstand that you do the measurements first. Because the way that this is currently advertised, “large” appears in the header thus implying that it is large. But by no means is this a large bookstand.It is shipped without a box, which I was surprised considering that it is acrylic. Fortunately, it was intact. The two acrylic pieces that make the bookstand are covered with a protective film to keep it from being scratched. So that must be peeled off before assembling. It is a little challenging removing the protective film. But once it is removed, the acrylic is pristine and clear. Moreover, it is a decent thickness, and assembly is simple, just connect the two pieces together.As far as the weight is concerned, the book that I placed on the stand was 2.5 lbs. So, I cannot attest to whether the 11 lbs. maximum weight that is advertised is accurate.For the pricing, even though acrylic bookstands are not necessarily cheap. The current price for this bookstand is $23.19 at the time that pf this review. I think that this is a bit overpriced for what is being offered.Overall, this is a cute little acrylic bookstand that is stylish. But even though the dimensions appear in the description. I still think that it is a bit deceptive to use the word “large” in the header when it is clearly a small bookstand.
