We got this item for our daughter for Christmas. We returned the 1st because when she opened it christmas morning it was broken. We just today received the 2nd one and it is also broken. It's pretty to look at, but disappointed it's come broken 2 times.

Top does not lock into place. Table falls out of frame when rotating.

It’s not just a bunch of pngs luckily and it’s a really good price for this size compared to other ones.

This is a pretty cool way of looking at the elements - in that you actually get to look at them! I've always appreciate the brilliance of the modern periodic table's arrangement, and it's really nice to have a little bit of each of the (non-radioactive) elements arranged to see. Each of the gas elements is just a little blob of bubbles, which gets the point across - no reason to assume that the bubbles contain the stated gas - and of course the radioactive ones just have the radiation symbol rather than a sample. Because you don't want to die... right?Spins nicely in its base/frame so you can view it from all angles. Nice and sturdy and large, a good display piece for a classroom or a shelf.That being said, I think it is selling for at least twice what is reasonable give that it's mostly a large chunk of clear plastic filled with a scattering of crumbs of the elements. But knowing what you're getting, if you think the price is worth it, then go for it! You'll like what you get.

I've been looking at these "real elements" Periodic Tables for a while now and I have to say this is the prettiest one I've seen.It is actually fairly large as these units go, and the rotating or spinning ability really jazzes it up. Makes it a lot more interesting.Unfortunately these things are more expensive than they should be but if you can get one on sale than I highly recommend it.
