There are no instructions on how to put this together. I never ended up getting it together so I gave this one star. Also, I believe you'll have to drill holes in the resin for the screws. Not sure how well that works. Good luck if you buy this!

It's cute but the hinges break of easily and tried different glues. Had to put hinges and even they didn't look to good.

I made my 1st chest a couple weeks ago, but have not yet assembled it. No instructions came with the mold. The lid was very hard to remove from the mold, but I can't figure out how to attach the hinges to the back with UV epoxy, and then the metal closure hook. The mold needs some indented notches on the front to have a stationary, guided point to drill and attach the latch hardware. Because the piece is not flat, the hardware slides around too much to mark up the area to drill so I can attach the hardware. Having big, stiff fingers and hands doesn't help either. Have thought about just attaching hardware with epoxy as the sealant, but I'm all thumbs and would be even less successful.

I liked the idea of making a wish box for my Niece. I made one for me first to check it out.To get the pieces out of the mold, roll the mold down, like turning a sock inside out.Hinges...1. Put the hinges together.2. On the box, put a small dot of superglue on the outside of the hinge opening. Both sides.3. Put the hinges in the openings so the flat side is flush with the box and the round part is poking out the back.4. On the lid, Put a small dot of superglue on the inside of the hinge openings.5. Press the lid onto the box hinges. I used painters tape to tightly hold the pieces together while the glue set.Hinges complete!I used a thin piece of painters tape to hold the latch in place. Set it on the box where I wanted it. Marked the spots where the screws go and drilled a tiny divot in the resin. That way, it's easier to attach the screws. The last 2 pics show the final piece. I put coins in for size reference.Go for it! Just have fun with it. Good luck!

The mold work great but the hinge parts and fitting them need to be filed down to fit.

It would have been nice if they included the glue to put everything together, even a cheap screwdriver would have been nice. i guess for the money it is fun to experiment with but why not give us the complete items to make a chest. Somewhat impressed.

The body mold is alright, but the top mold is really hard to de-mold and I’m always afraid I’m going to rip it.The hinges are terrible. If you overfill the mold the hinges won’t fit together, and they’re difficult to adhere to the chest. The listing doesn’t show how to attach them and you get no instructions, so you’re on your own.The mold is a neat idea, and as a small business owner I thought it could add some value to my products, but it’s more trouble than it’s worth.
